FN 9 concealability
Ok, I was really interested and almost going to get one of these but backed down after reading the last review. It got a great review and I was impressed with it's accuracy but it's only fault in the review was that it in no way was a pistol for concealed carry!! I live in Fl. so a coat, jacket vest is out of the question! Anyone carrying one of these down south that conceals and not having a problem doing so!

I carry the fnp-45 (which is a much larger frame fn) in the summer time under just a t-shirt.
Every gun is concealable, you just have to dress around it. The FNP-9 is perfect for concealed carry, and I would even consider it to be on the small side of what I would carry on a regular basis. I carry my FNP-45 in a cross breed holster and keep it on my strong side, and it doesn't print at all. FN makes a great gun, and its definitely small enough for concealed carry. |

just use a CrossBreed Supertuck or something similar IWB. It is a very concealable gun.

Well that's exactly what I'm getting at,I wasn't born yesterday,I know any gun can be concealed if you put your mind to it and dress accordingly! like I mentioned I live in Fl., I don't want to buy a SD pistol that I can't conceal without dressing lightly in this heat and naturally ,I would just assume that everyone would know I'm expecting it to wear comfortably, otherwise, why bother! So if the FN"S are pretty thick pistols then I would assume the articles are true that although they are excellent in almost every aspect they just don't cut it as a true concealable self defense pistol for civilians, they fall more in the role of a service type pistol! To bad they certainly have a good pistol, maybe they should consider making a compact!
Looks like I'm going to be going with another 1911! Thanks for the feedback guys |

I have a XD 9 w/ 4" barrell, i believe they're pretty comparable in size. I can wear mine at the 4 o'clock position with a forward cant in my MTAC holster and conceal it under a dark or patterned tshirt. fnp-9 is a nice gun, dont count it out yet.

Hey ECHOONE,
I have the FNP9 and also live in Florida. Clothes tends to hang straight down on me meaning I'm not overweight or anything (medium shirt/shorts/build/etc.) and carrying anything on my side sticks out. I carry in a MaxPedition bag. The only thing I can carry outside of the bag is a Taurus M85 in a pocket holster otherwise, it has to go in the bag. I don't have any .380s, but a smaller one of those would probably work such as the LCP, PT738, P38T, etc. The PT738 isn't out yet, but looks pretty nice. |

I live in the Orlando area, I'm 6.0' 340 pounds and I don't have any issues with concealment. I use a Crossbreed Supertuck with a FN 5.7 and my Son has a Crossbreed Supertuck with an FN45. I also have a FN9 and FN40 and haven't had any issues with concealment. If you are in my area you are more than welcome to come by and try them out.

Hi,
I don't want to buck the system here, but that gun is big for CC. Guys will tell you that they can carry just about anything and indeed they can, but from my experience a compact gun or larger frame gets old. They are fat and heavy when carried IWB. Just my 2 cents, but I thought I might save you some grief down the road.
