Maxipedition Jumbo Versipak

I know this style of carry is not for everyone. I carry a lot of gear sometimes, especially when I go into St. Louis (125 miles) with the wife. I just received this bag and I really like it. It is very well made, and very firearms friendly. I work at a small college that is located in a town with 2 other colleges, one of them very large. Bags like this are a dime a dozen, nobody gives them a second glance. I have a velcro holster for my 5.11 vest and it fits the gun pocket perfectly. Just like the photo, I carry a 92FS. I got the bag on EBay, $75 with no shipping charges. I have been using it everyday, but without the firearm at work, small college remember.

I have had my Jumbo for about 6 months now and it has been getting better with age. Everything you say about it is absolutely true. It is of extraordinary quality. Enjoy! You will have it for a long, long time.

I got mine a couple of months ago and love it. And the folks at Maxpedition couldn't be nicer.

I originally ordered the Fatboy Versipack and realized when it arrived that the zipper on the back pocket wasn't really big enough for me to quickly draw my XD-9SC out of. My hand and slide always seemed to get hung up on the zipper, even with the shorter 10rd mag. And I wanted to use the 16rd mag! That was never going to work.

I emailed them and they were nice enough to let me send it back and trade up to a Jumbo. All it cost me was the difference in price and the additional shipping charge. I have been carrying the Jumbo to work with me for about a month and a half now and love it. I have room for all of my crap. Wallet, Phone, Palm, MP3 Player, Keys, Water Bottle, Cables, etc., etc..

I have also taken it to the range and practiced my draw. It's very nice. Now when my permit arrives, I should be good to go.

That's good to hear Mojoski,

I just ordered the Standard VersaPak and am concerned that it'll be too small for my P-229!

Ya know what? It occurs to me that if one has a motorcycle and wishes to carry without the eternal "FLASH" due to windspeed, this might be just the thing! This also might make a good BOB in case of extreme emergency! Keeping in mind today's foiled attack in the UK.

I'm thinkin' like you ExSoldier, I ordered mine with the primary purpose of a BOB. It would be great on a bike though!
I'm think I'm gonna tell my wife that I need a new Harley to go under my VersaPak when it comes!

+1 on the BOB idea, Been thinking that myself too.

Thumper, Let us know how that goes.

I also was wondering if the smaller bag would be too small. Good to hear some feedback,

Good Review Guys
Thanks

Ditto the BOB! I've been intending to get that together, and it's high time I got it done. This bag looks like a good choice.

Why go for a new one when you can get one of these? This is my 1952 Panhead, about 95% original.

You're a mean little squid aren't ya?

Hey, that is a good looking Panhead! So much so that I quoted your text so we can get a second look!
