Question for those who live in the Phoenix, AZ area

I will be spending this weekend in the Phoenix area. Since where I live (Upstate NY) there are virtually no stores with a selection of holsters and such, I thought I could check out a store or two while I’m there…

If you can think of any good ones please let me know. Store name and address would be great!

Thanks,

-- FD

Scottsdale Gun Club, on Northsight Blvd just south of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd and the Rt. 101, or
Shooter's World / AZ Tactical on 28th Ave south of Indian School Rd.
These are the two of the largest shops in the area.

Mark hit on two of the better ones, but if you're by Luke Air Force Base try Sportsman's Warehouse on McDowell and Dysart.

Actually, it might help if we knew what part of town you were planning on staying in.

FiringDragon,
There is also a gun show this weekend at the AZ State Fairgrounds at 19th Ave & McDowell. It is not one of larger shows however.
And to answer for any pondering minds - "No, I will not be set up there." I will go to look around, but I have far too many customers orders to fill to go setting up at any shows. I honestly don't know how some of the other holster guys that set-up at the shows do it.

Thanks everyone for the information. And, yes Mark, I saw the commercials for the show on TV there.

It so happened that our schedule was so full, I never got around to visiting any of these places... Well, we are planning more visits in the very near future and I hope to see these places then.

Thanks again

At least you survived the heat!

Mark,

Actually the heat was very manageable... Yes, it was very hot, but even though I was running around all day I didn't feel sticky like I do here (Upstate NY).

I was told that the 20-25% humidity was "high" for Phoenix, but it felt dry as a bone to us...

Thanks again for the info

Yeah, it's funny as hell. The true life-time residents here start wiping their brow and complaining when the humidity climbs over 12%.
I'm from Philadelphia originally, so I know the humidity you're referring to.
