Yes - Wilson Combat 8 rounders
The Wilson Combat 8 round stainless magazine works just fine in my Colt Defender, with officer size frame. I have used it many times at the range. It sticks out a bit, of course, as it is designed for the longer Government size grip. If carrying the Defender, I use a shorter officer length magazine in the gun (7 rounds) so it doesn't stick out, and carry the 8 rounder for backup in a mag pouch. These cost about $30 at various websites like Midway, etc.

Tripp cobra mags are probably the best 1911 mags on the market. A bit expensive but worth every penny IMO, they brought my 98% Kimber Ultra carry up to about 99.9% |

I'll be looking at Tripp mags. I like the idea of the base pad stopping the mag from going in too far and it adding to the front grip of the pistol.
Thanks to all......... |
