Looking for a holster

Does anyone know of a good quality holster that is similar to this one that doesn't take 4 months to get?

Galco, Don Hume, DeSantis, and Bianchi stock holsters that are similar to that High Noon holster....all without wait and through various sources on-line and (likely) at a well-stocked gun store near you. Those three companies are quality holster makers.

Did you check with High Noon to find out if that holster is a regular stocked item? If so, just buy that holster.

Check with Kramer. They make some of the best holsters around (especialy the horsehide) and usually ship in approx two to three weeks! What you are looking for would be a belt scabbard (with or without the FBI tilt)

Here's one from Pocket Concealment System, Inc:
Blindside Belt Scabbard

I use one of his pocket holsters. They are custom made for your weapon. Great quality.

Well for what gun? Thats gonna make or break your quest. If its a common gun, you can go to a gun store and buy one today. If not then your quest continues. BTW....you get a better holster from a company thats not "off the rack"...at least IMO.
Shoot well and god bless

Did you call them? They sent me an email the other day saying they were stocking a number of holsters. You might give them a holar.

Gun leather, like most things in life, follow this dictum:
You can have it fast.
You can have it cheap.
You can have it good.
Pick TWO.

Quite a few companies make a holster like the High Noon you want, but a lot depends on the particular gun. If the gun is a common one, like a 1911 or Glock, your chances of fast delivery are better, especially if the holster you want is right handed. I believe some holster makers will make these common holsters for inventory, and you might get it in a week.

I recently ordered a Kirkpatrick Compact Under Cover for a 3 inch barrel 1911, and had it in a week. It looks like the High Noon you describe - a pancake holster built for a short barrel gun:

I ordered a Don Hume 721OT from Gunners Alley 9 weeks ago. This is for a S&W 6906, a gun that there are literally thousands of out there. While the Don Hume is a good holster and a good buy, If I had known 9 weeks ago that I would be told that my holster would be delivered 1st week of September (if I'm lucky) then I would have ordered something like the High Noon Topless which is a better holster but costs more and I would be waiting 3 vs 4 months. And trust me on this, contrary to what you read on their website, GA doesn't care if you are happy or not. I have called them numerous times and they do not answer emails, they are only interested in big dollar orders.

You will soon find out that there are few industries out there that are as aloof as the leather holster industry.

I ordered a belt from a company that states 10 weeks delivery on holsters. I didn't ask how long it would take for a 1 1/4 " belt, 34" in black but I figured it had to be faster than 10 weeks. I was wrong, I actually waited 10 weeks for a damm belt, hard to believe. On another belt order with a different company, I ordered a 1 1/2 belt in black and had it in 10 days and it was within $2.00 price of the 1 1/4 belt and just a nicer belt all around with a nice heavy buckle, I got this beauty from Rafter S Gunleather and highly recommend them for belts. I think my next leather purchase will be a Brown 1 1/2 belt and matching IWB set from Rafter S, and even if it takes 10 or so weeks I know that at the end of the day I will have a really nice set and they seem to appreciate my business.

I could go on and on about my complaints with the leather holster industry but what I would suggest is do a serach on the internet, contact suppliers that have the holster you want in stock and buy that. High Noons are good but their lead times suck. They are a little bit expensive but the thing is you cannot trust them to deliver when they say they will.

Good luck

Tom
