Talking Got One of These?

Something new and available at K&D Holsters:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Here's the real deal:

Depending on whether or not the logo/design is copyrighted or trademark, we can do it for you. Even in instances where it's copyrighted/trademark, often we can get permission to do something like this. We did this for a customer whose wife is graduating from the academy soon, and we did get permission from the agency to do this.

Enjoy.

You're right Kevin, that is nice. I think the negative picture was a pretty cool effect, too.

Kevin - what a beaut' rig for starters - real sweet. But that embossing is most effective - just love it

Work of art.

Kevin, that looks great! You'll recall we spoke by phone about modifying the eagle design or something similar...this opens up more possibilities, so you'll be hearing from me.

Kevin,
That's one of the best looking rigs I've seen. You can sure be proud of that design. Makes me almost sorry I didn't get you to do some art work on the two you made for me. However, mine are IWB, so they wouldn't show anyway.

I'll be messaging on the price.

I got my initials on my Laredo Defender. . . A friend told me that I'd have a hard time selling it if I bought another holster.

I said, "Exactly."

The only time that holster is going into a box is when I do.

I don't usually like any kind of stamping or decoration on a holster, but I like that. I think that that particular design kind of lends itself to the positioning of a single badge or similar object. Can you tell us, without giving away any trade secrets, what is involved? Pattern on some sort of transfer paper then cut in? I like the natural color, too.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.

sheepdog:

It is the transfer of the design to the leather. Done in the manner shown gives you much greater detail than the traditional tooling/embossed stamping you often see.

This is a clock I did a couple of years ago using the same medium/process:

That's a digital photograph of one of my diecast cars. The ability to maintain the detail is phenominal. The art work that you use is critical to obtaining that detail.

We are currently limited to "light-colored" leathers, but anticipate being able to do the same on the dark leathers as well in the very near future. As you can see, the design/logo always turns out the dark brown. So if you put it onto a dark brown or black holster, you wouldn't be able to see it. Once we've got a sample on a piece of dark leather, I'll post a pic. Should be ready within a couple of weeks.
