Does this holster exist?
I am looking for a holster that is basically a Galco Concealable OWB but with a tension screw, for a commander 1911 single stack. I had a Concealable for my Para but it didn't hold it as well as it should have.
I know G&G has the B800 that is similar, but I don't want a thumb strap. I want a tension screw. Does this exist? |

I don't Know If This Will Help You Or Not
Galco does have a custom shop.
So if you want only Galco then possibly they could make up the exact model of holster you want...and add the tension screw. Just a random passing thought I had. Here is the link to the Galco Custom Shop...includes Phone # Click Here. BTW The Galco Custom shop makes some nice holsters in Alligator & Shark & other exotics.

Try this: http://www.andrewsleather.com/ and look under Saddle Style on the menu to the left. He has a reasonable wait time (Christmas is coming though), an excellent stylish product for a great price, as these things go, and a tension screw! I have one with a thumbsnap for my Sig P229 .40 and I love it!

Fist,Inc. will add a tension screw to any of their holster designs for an additional $10.00.

This will be for my DW Bobtail 10mm (if someone ever buys my Para 10mm). I don't want to go cheap, but I don't want to go balls out either. Looking for a middle ground, $50-75ish.
I had a Fist hybrid and it was nifty, but I want something different for this gun. Something that puts a smile on my face as well as fits nicely. |

A couple of ideas
The Galco concealable is a pancake holster with belt loops fore and aft of the gun and a flat back side with all the contoured leather on the outside of the holster. It also has a pretty fair cant angle compared to most holsters.
Aker makes a similar holster called the "Flatsider" that also has the adjustment screw you want for tightening or loosening the fit of the gun: Aker Leather website ![]() Brigade Gunleather makes one called the M2 Pistol Hugger, which is similar to the Galco but does have boning on the backside, as well as the front: Brigade M2 Holster ![]() And finally, if you are feeling affluent, there is the Milt Sparks CC-AT, which has a flat backside: Milt Sparks Holsters ![]() |
