640-1 IWB choices?

I have had a hard time finding a comfortable IWB for my 640-1. I have tried Don Hume IWB, Kramer IWB (too thick), Fobus(pure junk), and galco. I am thinking about going with Kydex to keep a nice slim profile. I asked Comptac about their J frame model but they could not guarentee me a fit since the 640-1 .357mag has a 2-1/8" and is slightly thicker. The new model from K&D below (Cochise Defender) looks awesome but I am also concerned about potential fit issues since my 640-1 has crimson trace grips. Is anyone use an IWB with this pistol?

Well....lots of questions. My advice to you and NO DISPRESECT to the fine kydex makers out there...is if you want try a kydex IWB, there are plenty of great makers out there. Just keep this in mind....a gun is a solid pc of steel against your body...most IWB S/Autos are flat and have no pressure points when worn IWB. A snubby has the cylinder that can, and commonly does, add a pressure point to you.
A leather holster is what I found worked better for me and Im not pushing leather in general, just in this situation....I carried a M60, Charter Arms, SP101 etc..IWB for a long time. The leather tends to be more forgiving given the shape of the snub...especially when the cylinder is directly under the belt.
K&D makes some good stuff.......take a look and give Kevin a call. Im sure he can help you out.
Shoot well and god bless.......
