+1 on the switch to the left side, and it didn't take but a couple of weeks to become habit, and now it's just like before the switch.
money clip? what's money? once a month I take this little paper with my name on it to the bank, and worse than a car wash vacum, it's sucked right out of my hands. ![]()

I don't carry yet (dropping off the application within the week), but I don't even use a money clip - just put my cash (what little I carry on me - gotta love debit cards) and cards (license, debit card, reserve ID if needed) in my front left pocket.
Also makes thing easier to keep an eye on - some very skilled pickpockets out there, especially when traveling. |

If you carry weak side then there is less chance of flashing when you reach for your wallet. Also, if someone is holding you up you can reach strong hand for your "wallet"

I carry a full-sized 1911 at 3:00 (right side) in a Kydex IWB holster, and have for several years. I also carry my wallet in my right hip pocket, with no problem.
When I reach for my wallet, I just use my thumb to lift whatever concealment garment I’m wearing straight up. This exposes my wallet, but not my gun. I never have to sweep the garment back and reveal my gun in order to get the wallet. This works with an overshirt, a vest, a jacket, a sweatshirt, or whatever else I use to conceal my gun. I’ve seen this topic discussed a number of times and have always wondered what all the fuss was about.

another money clip fan here...I switched a while back...went from a fat wallet with junk and way too many usless papers in it (no cash though!) to a money clip that clips all of my plastic together and that rides in my front left pocket. Much more comfortable for me.

If you are right handed, then your wallet should be in your left rear pocket...this way, if you are ever mugged, you are using your weak hand to go for the wallet while keeping your gun hand free....having said that, I do not carry money in my wallet, I carry it in a money clip in my left front pocket....this way, if I am ever mugged, I not only have my right hand free, but the clip adds weight to the bills, letting you toss them and keeping distance...most muggers will not request a wallet after getting any money..and it save you the hassle of haivng to cance all your cards and change your locks...of course, most here are thinking, "hand it over? when do you shoot"...but to be honest, if I don't think my life is in danger anymore after handing over 35 bucks, I will gladly let him have it if it means not having to shoot....
Oh...one more thing....pulling out a money clip full of bills looks way cooler than thumbing through a wallet for it....especially on a date...that's always been the way us Italians do it.....right Matt...:) |

by the way, I have yet to find a money clip that I like....they usually stretch out with lots of bills then don't work well with less...now I use a simple binder clip...works great!
