Thanks for the suggestions.

The rear of my holster is right at the top of my right rear pocket and sort of pokes into that area making it hard to get a wallet in and out.

I put it in my left pocket today, it was weird driving. If I leaned left I would really feel the wallet if I leaned right the gun pushed into me. I think I need to get a thin wallet and put it in a front pocket.

I'm not sure of the need to show your CCW (or equivalent permit to carry concealed). For LE, it's probably a good idea to put your wallet (The one with your ID & badge) in your weak side rear pants pocket. That way, you can show the ID &/or badge while you have your weapon drawn.

With that in mind, I used to carry one wallet with everything in it. It was very thick & uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time on it. I would take it out, but sometimes forget it. So, I now carry my ID wallet in the weak side & my other wallet in the strong side. It evens things out. Oh yea...I usually put my money in a money clip (what little I have) & an extra mag in my weak side front pocket. Thank God for cargo pants!

Wink wallet

I switched the wallet to my right front pocket for iwb carry and only carry it in the rear pocket when using a pocket holster in the rf.
Actually, my chiropractor suggested I carry the wallet in front as it's better for my back. He doesn't know I carry so his advice had nothing to do with ccw.
On those occasions when I have to leave the Para Carry/iwb at home and carry the Colt Pony in the front pocket I revert to rear pocket carry for the wallet. Now that I'm not used to it any more I find sitting on that @#$@# wallet damned uncomfortable. Especially when driving. I suspect it would be nearly unbearable if I actually had money in the thing!

Front Pocket Here...

I switched about 3 years ago...went form back right, to front left. Also switched from a regular wallet to a small wallet/clip...carry a couple licenses, credit card, and BC/BS card...
And never more that $800-900 in cash...

Yea right...I mean $8-9...

Pretty comfortable...

many years ago i carried a very thick wallet in my weak side rear pocket (ever see the george castanza wallet episode of seinfeld?). i developed back problems, i got rid of the wallet and started using a money clip in my strong side front pocket. i got tired of my ID and credit cards being separate from my cash so i switched to a very thin wallet that is no more than a few slots for ID and credit cards combined with a money clip and still carry it in my strong side front pocket. my cell phone is almost always in my weak side front pocket. if i ever need to pull anything out of my pocket while keeping my strong hand free (or without letting go of my weapon) i figure it will be my cell phone. if i am ever mugged i guess the situation will determine if i pull my wallet or draw my weapon. if i have to show ID/CCW license to LEO i will likely have disarmed or notified said LEO of my holstered weapon before attempting to reach into a pocket. no way i am reaching into a pocket while holding a gun in the presence of LEO (unless we are at the range together ).

in any case, my iwb ccw has never been in the way of my wallet or visa versa.

Once started carrying I switched my wallet to my weak back pocket. In Ohio if you are pulled over you need to show LEO your CHL. So I did it just to keep my weapon on my strong side and have the wallet on the weak side so that my hand would be nowehere near my weapon in the event I was stopped. It took some time to get used to, but then again, I'm in college, so I don't really have anything to put in a wallet anyways.

+1

Wish I'd done it years ago. MUCH more comfortable, especially for long drives. Still don't know why I carried all that junk in my wallet in the first place.

I carry mine in my weakside back pocket. I tried the money clip but with all the stuff I have to carry in my wallet it didn't work.

One more vote for switching to the left rear pocket!

I haven't had a problem, I carry at 4 o'clock, and can get to my wallet in the right rear easily.
