I've toured their site before. I'm kinda biased though, I use folks like Kevin from K&D holsters, who is a member and frequents this board.
If you get to see the pic, this is some of his work. BTW... the pic is on line correctly. Check your computer... Artz

I can see the pic. That's a good looking set-up for a pocket. |

Howdy!
This is a practice that I would highly recommend against. Gunfights are usually over in seconds (at most) and you'll just die with a gun in your boot, if you ever actually need it. I would agree wholeheartedly with the folks recommending a pocket holster (if your pants have slash pockets - like Dockers, 5.11's or BDU's.) I've had very poor success in using a pocket holster with jeans. Another approach (highly recommended) is to carry another gun (preferably same make, model & caliber as primary so mags interchange) opposite your primary in a weak (usuallyLeft) hand holster. People often get shot in their gun hand/arm, so a BUG should ALWAYS be accessable with the weak hand. Good luck! |

I used to carry a Kahr PM9 in DeSantis Nemesis in my left boot.
It worked a lot better than I thought it would. It never fell out and I was never made. I practiced getting to it and got good enough to feel secure about it. There may be better options, but that one worked well for me as long as I used it. |

Well, everyone has a right to their own opinion about this, and I certainly do not want to seem argumentative here.
Having said that, the Tueller Drill clearly demonstrates how a 70 yr old man can clear 21 ft and inflict a fatal wound with a knife before the average, trained police officer can draw and fire a holstered sidearm. Since most gunfights occur at distances closer than 21 ft, how could you possibly hope to get a gun out of a boot before the BG just runs up and shoots you in the face while you struggle to retrieve your BUG? It's easy to say "I've done this and it worked for me" when you've never had to actually employ the technique. Statistically, I could carry an unloaded pistol around for the rest of my life because according to research done by Gary Kleck, most BG's will run away as soon as I draw down on them. Therefore, since (statistically speaking) I probably (and hopefully!) will never actually shoot someone, I do not need to load my carry gun. However, I think that most folks will agree with me that carrying an unloaded firearm is pure insanity. Given the close distances, ferocity and short time constraints of actual engagements, I would consider carrying a BUG that I cannot access in a second and a half (or less) to be as foolish as not loading it at all. |

No way. First, are you just going to stick the gun in your boot? That in my opinion is very dangerous because the trigger is not covered by a holster. Second, drawing from a boot would take alot of time. I'm not going to lie and say that I have not thought about it because I do wear Wellington type workboots in the winter months sometimes. I just don't think it is practical from a safety or tactical standpoint.

No doubt pocket carry with loose pockets will be faster. Carrying anything not secured in your boot seems like a bad idea. I have carried my BUG in an ankle rig, but in the boot never.
No need to lose a weapon from active movement, only to have it picked up by a BG.

I do not feel that boot carry is an acceptable way to carry a firearm.
Ankle Carry in a proper holster if you want to carry in that location. Boot carry might be OK for a last~ditch Boot Knife inside the boot but, a knife is not a firearm. |
