Comp-Tac C-T.A.C. IWB Holster

What a different experience. Called them a few weeks ago, talked to their GM. I was asking about an IWB for my Ruger P94. I guess that I already knew the P94 was too heavy for ME, not everyone else, ME. He told me what I already knew and suggested I look at the Smith & Wesson M&P40. To shorten this saga, I got my M&P40 on the 23rd of December, Merry Christmas to me. Called him back on Wednesday, December 27th and ordered the C-T.A.C. My new C-T.A.C. arrived on Friday, December 29th. What SERVICE!!! I left out the parts about burning 500 rounds of ammo through my M&P, oh what a difference from my P94. I must say, he was correct, this is the most comfortable holster I have found. Adjustability helps to make this a comfortable fit. Just thought I would let you folks know about a very GOOD experience. We are all quick to relay our bad experiences, here's a great one. Very knowledgeable folks to talk with at Comp-Tac, very helpful, very polite. What a change.

If you have not already, please post a range report on the M&P in the ccw guns section of the board. We'd love to hear how the new gun performed!

Glad you like your new holster. I have never heard a bad thing said about them.

Comp-Tac makes great products and is definitely a great company to do business with.

I hear so many great things about this holster that I am very tempted to give it a try. But, I am so happy with what I have now, I don't really see the need to buy anything else. Maybe if I move away from the G22/23 for carry at some point I could justify buying something else.

I have a CTAC for both my Sig P229 and my Glock G19. Their product and service is excellent.

I'm thinking of getting one of their paddle holsters for my G19 too.

The C-TACs are some of the best holsters out there, and the service is great. All my IWB holsters are C-TACs.

I have CTACs for my: SIGARMS P229 and sig pro, HK USP .45, Walther P99, and Browning HP...five of them....yep, you can say I like the CTAC alot!

I own a Ghurka, CTAC, FBI Paddle, Pro Undeercover and Shirt Tucker....the products ANDthe customer service are the reason I only use their holsters, magpouches, etc.

i have looked at these holsters also, does the kydex get uncomfortable, or does it scratch the finish of the gun.... these are my concerns.... i carry a USPC 40 if that matters all blacl

I also can say nothing bad about the C-T.A.C.! I think my M&P .40 may be starting to show a little wear around the trigger where the retention device is.

I have a CTAC and M&P 9. I love them both. I have been meaning to post pics of the holster but have not gotten around to it yet.

I have a CTAC for a XD 45 Service. Wore it for maybe a week after I got my concealed permit. If i were to be standing all day it would be a great holster, other than the grip of the gun sometimes printing but thats not really the holsters fault. Sitting down could get downright paintful. The holster was very uncomfortable to wear in the car and eventually gave up on it and ended up getting a smaller gun to carry (Keltec P3at). Course it could be that the rig was just too big for me. Im about 5'7" and have about a 33 inch waist.

Fordfan: I thought the CTAC would be uncomfortable also. The guy at Comp-Tac suggested a "kidney" carry. Sounded strange, I tried it, it is the most comfortable way I have ever carried a pistol. Sitting, standing, walking, running, very comfortable. By trying several different cant angles and adjusting the height of the holster I found it to be very comfortable. Might be something to try???

You mean around the 5 oclock position or small of the back? I normally had the holster anywhere from 3-4 clock position. Its been about 6 months since Ive worn it but I'll give it a shot tomorrow to see how it does. Should be easier to conceal since its a little cooler out now and Normally have a jacket on compared to a tshirt or polo in the summer time.

The only negative thing I can say about the CTAC is it is not available for my S&W 3913. Despite offering them a mold to use, they still can't build me one. I do own CTACs for my Sig and S&W J and love them. Great holsters!

But, I am so happy with what I have now, I don't really see the need to buy anything else.
