Keep spares!
So, I was putting on the holster this morning when I decided to practice my draw. Flipped back the cover shirt, pulled the gun out and "snap" went the kydex clip on the holster. Not good.
The story is actually a little more involved than that. I was going to put some blue loctite on the screws that hold the clips to the holster. After I took off the screws I realized that I wasn't 110% sure that I was going to put them back on in the right positions. (I was sure but not totally sure.) So, holster goes back together but screws are not fully tightened. I think that might have had something to do with the problem. Anyway, I ordered new clips just a bit ago. Ordered the standard and some C clips as I've never tried those. Basically, and I'm sure everyone else probably knows this already, if you have things like clips that can break buy some extras. (Fortunately I have another holster that I can use for now.)

Suggestion
Might consider a spare for your weak hand, too. Had a strong hand injury and had a tough time using a holster that didn't really fit until I could find the right thing. One handed and hurting is not the time to be worrying about your gear.

Good advice.
I will second the spare holster for the weak hand. I had to carry left handed once for a month after an injury to my right hand left me unable to draw and fire while healing. I did not have a left hand holster so I went and bought one. It was not easy to get used to. I practice weak hand drills every time I go to the range also. This is something that I have found a lot of people do not even think to do. But, it might just save your butt one day to be able to fire accurately with your weak hand.
