Pocket Holsters
I have a confession. Pocket holsters have never worked well for me, I have two made by Mitch Rosen and the holster always wants to come out with the weapon. The only pocket holster I use is the cheapo by Uncle Mike. Your comments are welcome. Regards, Richard

I'm not sure what type of comments you are looking for--a recommendation of a pocket holster?
Well, for a pocket holster that's highly recommended at various forums, it's the Mika Pocket Holster. For $17 and shipment within days, it's a good value with fast service. I've got one and it works fine for me. Here's the link: http://www.frontiernet.net/~akim/

Jimmy C,
A friend of mine, now deceased, used a Mika Pocket Holster and he recommended it. Your opinion reinforces his and I will give one a try. The photo is the pocket holster Jimmy C is talking about. Regards, Richard Mika Pocket Holster: |

One That Works...
Search out Fist, Inc...
I have several Fist pocked holsters. They have a 'thumb push' that prevents the gun coming out WITH the holster...works every time... Use the search button up on top... ret ![]()

I modified a DeSantis "Nemisis" pocket holster by adding a black leather flap to one side with 2 brass snaps and now I love it.
Now it looks (and prints) like a wallet. Even in the snuggest pockets.

retsupt99, I am sorry to say, I did not have a positive experience with a Fist driving holster. The snap that held the holster together broke early in the game. I have never had a similar problem with Alessi, Sparks, Kramers etc. Regards, Richard

I carry my S&W 642 J frame in a Mika pocket holster. I love it. The draw is smooth and the holster stays put whatever kind of pants I am wearing. Highly recommended.

Interestingly, the only pocket holster I have ever used that kept the holster in the pocket 100% of the time was a Mitch Rosen holster, the Pocket Softy. Used one for a S&W 442 revolver for years, and it never once failed to hold the gun securely, allow an easy draw, keep the holster in the pocket during the draw, and allow easy reholstering.

I use a Sam Andrews www.andrewsleather.com pocket holster about 75% of the time when I carry. It has never had the slightest inclination to come out with my Ultra Carry II. It is rigid leather, prints like a wallet and is very easy to reholster.

+1 on the Mika's Pocket Holster...very well made, inexpensive and stays put on the draw. I use one on my S&W Mdl 38 in both pants pocket and coat breast pocket. Allways staty put on the draw....
