Carrying a Glock with or without a holster

Ok, I'm new to carrying as I just received my CCL. I have a Glock 19 and have carried it with an IWB Strong Side Holster and with a OWB Strong Side Holster. I find it most comfortable just shoved into my pants on the strong side. Looking for opinions on safety issues carrying this way (without holster) I have no worry about it falling out.

IMHO, much less safe than a proper holster.

Also, consider that to many in law enforcement, holster = proper carry and shoved in pants = criminal carry (at least that is the mental image).

Don't do that!

If you carry a gun USE A HOLSTER.

Mexican carry is only for the movies & BGs who want to shoot off parts of their anatomy.

Stay Safe!

Yup, even a cheap holster is better than none at all.

Easier to AD, and no gun retention. what if someone starts and attack /assault with a shove to knock ya down?

I carry glocks everyday and it is definitley more comfortable without a holster and you can do so safely. I carry that way once in a while when the jeans are a little too tight. The only safe way to do so is to use a Safe-T-Blok, I bought mine from Top Glock; it's only a couple bucks. It'll prevent anything from snagging on the trigger causing an AD. A few practice draws with your finger out of the guard, and then ejecting the block when placing your finger on the trigger, and you'll be ready to rock in no time.

Now dont bash us, we understand that this is not the safest option and we don't do it very often, but with the blok, it does make it safe again.

Bad idea. One of the most important things that a holster does is to cover the trigger guard and prevent the trigger from getting accidentally pulled. I'll bet you can carry mexican-style for a good while without having a problem. But then, sometime down the road, when you are least expecting it, tragedy happens.

You should. Try running and rolling on the ground, as if you'd just gotten knocked over by a goblin.
