I also carry a "G27" in a uncle mikes with two clips opposite side. Balances very well. Wear the 27 up very high. Clips doesen't really matter how high as they are counter weights. Usually wear under a wind breaker and if I have to drive a long way. Otherwise OWB Ted blocker.
I'm left handed by the way and uncle mikes was the best I could afford at the time also works right or left |

The reason you complained about is the single reason I do NOT use wide straps on my shoulder rigs. As have mentioned before I firmly believe shoulder rigs are a special duty rig but when I do use them I refuse to use one of the "widdened" straps as they always end up digging into my neck. The thinner straps are my choice and except for no digging into my neck I havent noticed a difference.

LOL.. you have just described why my previous daily carry, my S&W-5906, now resides in an OWB, and is not my daily carry. |

+1 on the shortening of the straps as much as possible, this will help. I also agree with 18DAI, the wide straps cause your problem also. I have worn shoulder rigs for years and prefer a horz should rig for any gun over 30 oz empty. Have carried heavy guns in them for years on long days, it has worked well for me.

This is my shoulder rig...
![]() Kind of a bad picture, I know, but I KIND of have the same problem. My Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry, when fully loaded, tends to pull it to the left. It's a Galco rig, so it's a good make, but the weight is just off as I only have one mag pouch on the other side to counter the weight of the gun. I've tried using a tie-down on the right side to keep it in place but, alas, that only restricts movement and drawing, however, after more playing and adjusting I've gotten it to sit JUST about right. It sits just a LITTLE to the left but not so badly that the straps show or that it digs into my neck, but enough to where it's in it's natural position and won't be moving around any more. I'm sure the more weight I put on the right side of the rig would even it out, but one mag is all I can spare at the moment without tying a 2 lbs weight to the rig. Keep playing with it. I had to readjust mine several times before I got it to a comfortable place. Good luck. |

Umm....bad picture? Ok.
I've had similar experience with my Galco rigs. The Glock rig was easier to get comfortable, the 1911 rig took a lot of adjusting. The all steel Kimber was too much of a good thing for me in a shoulder rig. |
