It aint always the fast food, LOL. Dang it I was getting so cabin fevered that I was doing five course meals for dinner. It was horible I tell ya. Thankfully Doc has released me to ride my bike and now I'm on the Harley about 5 hours a day (BIG SMILE). Hope to be back to work in a month or so, but thats up to the doc and the beauricrats.

I personally carry in an NRA 5.11 holster shirt, and I like it. My Glock 19 is almost too big; I tried to wear it under a t-shirt (heavy cotton type, not undershirt type) and it was pretty obvious I was carrying something in my armpit. However, under a button-up shirt it works well. If I had a something the size of a 26 it would be completely unnoticeable.
I only use this option during the summer months, because when I have to wear business casual (khakis and button-up shirts) it is pretty hard to conceal any other way. After work I just unbutton a couple of buttons and stuff my gun in one side with an extra mag on the other. Definitely not a fast way to draw, but it is better than carrying no gun... I have practiced drawing a few times and it isn't too slow if I have a couple of buttons unbuttoned - maybe 2 seconds. You must be VERY careful of where your trigger finger is when your hand is down inside the shoulder pocket. I figure if something goes down I'll just lose a couple of buttons. You would definitely have to draw when the goblin's attention was away from you as it takes a couple seconds and some pretty obvious movements. |

I have 2 of the 5.11 tactical shirt holsters now. I also have a UCComfort. I like the 5.11 better. I carry a 3" Kimber in it, and it is virtually unnoticeable. It's design helps hold the butt closer to your chest than the UCComfort.
Ease of carry and comfort is exceptional compared to any other way I've tried. No printing to speak of, and no worrying about shirts riding up. If you go this route, I would definately try one of the 5.11s.

Ditto on the 5.11 Holster Shirt. Not the method with the fastest draw, but when deep concealment is needed, it works as advertised.

Do not walk away from the Kramer Confi~Dead Shirt.
RUN away from it fast. and for Deep Cover - cover it up deeply in the trash can with coffee grounds and banana peels. It is a totally worthless POS. Listen to fed w/ a sig - he knows what he is talking about.

I donno...I've had good luck with my Kramer Confidant hiding a Kahr K40. I haven't tried any other shirt holsters, but this one has worked fine for me. YMMV
That's what I think.

The 5.11 Holster Shirt is great for carrying all my "Bat Gear"..flashlight, knife, phone, mags, etc.. I also use it in the auto on extended drives.

Have you had an opportunity to test out the new design from Undercover Comfort, yet? Thanks.

I recently received another shirt from Al that was cut slightly different than the previous. It is slightly "fuller?" in the shoulders, and the fit isn't quite as "tight" across the chest as well. It makes the shirt more comfortable without sacrificing retention.
Hope this helps. |
