In my humble opinion, one size fits all does not lend itself well to this type of holster. If it fit as it should, then I would venture to say it would be perfect.
Also, the velcro is very noisy and scratchy. In a positive side, it is well made and super light. You do feel it move up if you raise your arms or shoulders up on your waist, so something else to be cognizant of.

I agree the shirt was too baggy for me. It works in a pinch though, but I would recommend something else.

Just spent a good while talking to Al Sampson of UC Comfort. He assured me that he has sent me a package to evaluate some of his new offerings. I will review them once they get here.

He also mentioned to me the Tactical Sweartshirt Unit and one is in the mail for review.....HOWEVER....this is not the final design and the new models will be even better.

They also are going to be offering a UC Comfort t-shirt that does not carry a weapon, but simple carries a soft trama plate for those who want to carry on the waist but want to protect their chest without using a full vest. Since I'm the one who convinced him to put a soft trama plate on the 3XH holster shirts, I think this will be an awsome addition and will likely buy one myself to use when I'm carrying ITPs (as I do off duty).

I'll keep you updated and it will likely be next week before I get back from a trip and get a review done.

Oh I also found out he does now review the forum and listens to the questions asked and thus we are seeing some new models.

I maybe the first guy to order the RacerBack then

-The Recerback holster. Pretty much designed for women. Dont know of any man who uses it, but I do know females that do a swear by it.
Hey all

I ordered the RacerBack yesterday. I will update all when it arrives and again after I have a chance to evaluate it for a week or so.

Main reasons I picked this model:
-- I am a small male, about 5'9" and 150 Lbs. The write up for it specifically mentions us smaller folk.
-- I am trying to find a GREAT way to conceal while in the shirt and tie (and w/ the new job it is a tie everyday). It is starting to get too warm now for the jacket. This shirt seems to have the least amount of fabric of them all, so hopefully that means the COOLEST of them all :}
--And the feedback on all the other styles has seemed VERY positive. Not only on this forum but other places as well.

I have not heard of a male wearing this one yet either, "but nothing ventured, nothing gained!"

BTW I have been CC for 8 years now -- almost daily -- so I have had experience with w/ most other styles from IWB-Tuckable, SmartCarry, paddle, Cilp Draw, ankle, etc.......

All other methods worked well with the Glock27, but I have been carrying a full sized 1911 for about a year now. My only concern from what I have read is weather or not a small framed guy like myself can conceal a 1911 well enough w/ this shirt. I do NOT wear form fitting dress shirts so that should help.

My fingers are crossed!!

Thanks Jack
Have been lurking for quite awhile. Aside from the want (but resisting the urge) to preach to the choir, this has been my first chance to contribute.

Thumbs up GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and I don't have my item yet!!

Quote:
Thank you for your order please note the Black Racer back holster will not be available for at least....The White Racer will be available..... Kindly advised if you will like the white Racer once it is available. If not we can cancel your order. Also please note that the New male tank top will also be available in the next 3 weeks.
I first want to tell everyone on this board that COMMUNICATION and customer service are 2 things that attract me to a business and keep me coming back to said company!!!

Upon receiving this email I immediately followed up with the following:

Quote:
Thank you for your follow-up. I would like to ask some questions, but am not sure if a phone call would be better than email. I will ask now but would also welcome a phone call if this would be a better way to nail down my choices.
--The RacerBack was billed as a tank style for men and women. Is the new mens style Tank a better fit? I am a small male, 5'9" about 150 Lbs.
--Is the new Male version available in black in the 3 week period? Other color choices?
--I would be very interested in trying the male TANK version if it is a good fit for a small framed guy.
--If I ordered the new male tank would it ship near the end of the three week period?
I GUESS MY MAIN QUESTION SHOULD BE: WILL THE MALE TANK FIT A SMALL FRAMED MALE BETTER THAN THE CURRENT RACERBACK?
Before you cancel my order lets see what the best way for me to go will be. We could change my order to something different once we decide the best fit for me.

I read all the input on the various sites I could find about your products (CombatCarry CCW forum, USCCA, Packing.org) and decided to give you a try. Please advise me as to the best way to procede. I am going to be using this product for a Full size 1911 but wanted the shirt w/ the least amount of fabric to stay as cool as possible.

Since no male on the sites I was on seemed to have bought the RacerBack (tank top) style, I thought I would roll the dice and try one. I told them I would evaluate it and post my thoughts for us smaller guys who would be carrying a full size in the tank style. If we go with the new male version I would be excited to give input on it.

Unfortunately not too many small built men seem to use the tank style and if it works well for me I will definitely spread the word!!!!

Again - THANK YOU for the excellent customer service so far. I will always deal with a company that treats their customers like they themselves expect to be treated. I also would wager that if I had a problem with anything, your company would be there after the sale as well.

Please feel free to call ......... or email at current address so we can finalize my purchase.

Thanks:

Cork
I thought that this info might interest some of you with the hot weather coming upon us.

I also wanted to let all know that we should spread the word NOT ONLY when we have a bad experience w/ a company BUT ALSO when we have a great experience w/ a business!!! I get the feeling that most on this forum do this but a reminder now and then never hurts.

So far my experience with UC COMFORT has been nothing but exceptional--and I don't even have my oder in hand yet. If their products are as good as the customer service you CAN NOT GO WRONG DEALING WITH THE FOLKS AT UC-COMFORT

Sorry for the long post:

Hey now, a tank top UCC would be right up my alley with Summer coming on. I'd definitely be interested in something like that as even regular T-shirts under a short sleeve button up make me miserably hot in the Summer humidity. Thanks for the post! I might have to drop them a line when I get a few bills under control.

Cork, Welcome aboard the forum. I personally havent used the racer back but sure wish they were around when I was a skinny guy but time and good food caught up to me.

I continue to support UC Comfort and Al has one true desire in mind to provide a person (weither LEO or civilian) a great concealment option in situations that standard leather (kydex) isnt the best option.

Please do let me know how the racer back works for you and pictures will be nice.

Good luck and again welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the kind welcome Steve

I am going to keep all updated on UCC here because I know of at least 2 of you who have shown some interest. I will be ordering the new "Male Tank" in white for the summer. Sounds like Black will be a bit further down the road and I REALLY want to see how this will work w/ my small framed body and my full sized 1911!! Below is their quick response to my questions:

Quote:
"Hello Cork thank you for the message please note that we are always available to answer all of your questions. The new male tank is called the UCCTank, it is being designed to fit all males therefore we would say that it will work well for you. The sizes will be Small, Medium , Large, XLarge and XXLarge in color white for the summer season and for the winter season we will produce the Black.
As for the RacerBack Holster it is designed and contoured for a women and those with small frame body."
I will keep you all posted.

I just reveived a package of products from UC Comfort today that Al sent me for review. Unfortunatly only one of the products is designed for concealment and the others are for tactical and patrol applications. I will be reviewing them this week and will post my review on here once it is done.

I know of a couple new products that Al has up his sleeve and hope to get them for a review soon. His manufactor just received a shipment of material from DuPont so the holsters we've been waiting for should be on the way.
