Sidearmor IWB holster w/ Rafter S gun belt?

Hi all,

I just received my new Sidearmor IWB holster for my G19. I ordered it with 1.25" belt loops to go with my Rafter S 1.25" inch black cowhide belt.

Unfortunately, the belt loops on the holster are too small! I can barely jam the belt through about 6 inches deep (while scraping the top and bottom of the belt), and then it doesn't budge.

Does anyone else use/tried this combination of holster and belt? If so, what's your experience been? I am contemplating getting the 1.5" belt loops, but everyone says to match the loops to your belt, which is what I did. I didn't have this problem when I ordered my Milt Sparks Executive Companion for my Sig P239.

Maybe the Sidearmor IWB (or kydex holsters in general) aren't designed for leather belts?

Let me know your thoughts.

Chris

I've experienced the same as you are describing with the few kydex holsters I have, with my leather belts. I'm considering buying a Wilderness belt to use with them. Hope someone has some good advice on this subject.

Rafter belts are thick

On the Rafter website it says their belts are 3/16 inch thick. I have two of them and can attest to their thickness. I don't have any kydex holsters but the Rafter belts are sometimes a snug fit in a leather holster because of this thickness. Maybe you could use a Dremel tool to slightly widen the belt loop on your kydex holster?

Here is a shot of a Rafter belt:

Great idea on the dremel, pogo. I'm going to try that. Thanks!
