Galco paddle M5X
I have a fobus original type Paddle. It does ride close to the body.My problem with it was that it was so tight on my Glock 27 that I could not draw it properly (old shoulder injury) I fixed it, (the holster not the shoulder). Some time ago I purchased a Galco M5X thermoplastic, it has retention screws- they work great & the holster looks good - leather like & it rides close with a decent gun belt (UBG). I don't use it for every day carry only when my travels take me where I need a fast removal.

I've used Fobus and Comp-Tac, but now carry occasionally with the finest paddle holster on the market in my opinion, the Kramer MSP Paddle. It is comfortable, secure and conceals well. Leather, not cheap, but the best.
The other item is from Simply Rugged, their Most Versatile Ammo Pouch for a speed strip. ![]()

I have three Kramer MSPs on order - I'm very much looking forward to their arrival. Glad to hear the positive reviews!

I've had no problems with my Fobus, but I only wear it when I have a jacket or sweatshirt on. I don't think it conceals very well. I know you said you wanted a paddle holster, but honestly I think a leather pancake holster is a much better choice. I hate IWB holsters and wear a pancake most of the time.

Newbie here, but take a look at the G-Code holsters from here http://www.gunnersalley.com/product/GCODEBELT. I have a couple of these (for 1911 and Glock 23) and they ride higher than most other paddle holsters I have tried (Fobus, Wild Bill's Concealment, Blackhawk). I like the others, but to me, by riding higher they ride tighter to the body. YMMV.

I use a Blade-Tech paddle for my Sig 229, everyday concealed duty carry. It works great. I however do not like the double mag pouch with the techlock. It sticks out a bit.

I personally use a Galco paddle holster; works perfectly. I can carry under fairly loose-fitting t-shirts without printing. See my avatar for a picture.
Only downside to the Galco is it is fairly expensive - $50 - 60. Also has a break-in period. The first time I stuck my gun in the holster it refused to come out. Had to give it a mighty tug. I had to work the gun in and out of the holster to break it in. Now it is perfect - holds the gun tight, but I can easily draw with just a slight tug. To illustrate how securely it holds the gun, I can hold the holster upside down, gripping the sides of the paddle, and shake it vigorously, but the gun will not fall out. That is with a fully-loaded gun (no round in chamber, for safety purposes). Sometimes I wear this holster under a jacket on my khakis, which don't have a thick waistband. I use a wide leather belt, and that is enough for a good grip. I can easily and quickly draw from those pants without yanking off the entire holster. Been wearing this Galco paddle for 3 years. I too have used a Fobus paddle holster for my Glock 23 (I am wearing it in the Fobus right now in fact) and it does hold the gun close to the body.
I can also recommend the Blackhawk Serpa holster. This comes with the paddle attachment and the belt attachment, just a matter of 3 screws to change out. It keeps the gun very close to the body and is VERY sturdy. This thing feels like it is unbendable. I carry the G23 in the Serpa almost exclusively now.

My Blackhawk Serpa holds tighter to teh body than the belt slide option. The paddle doesn't hold as tight as a pancake holster, but fairly close.
