Garrity Stead-Fast
Anyone owned a Garrity Stead-fast? I'm looking for a higher-ride pancake holster with a little less cant than my current one; this seems to fit the bill. I especially like the belt loop 'tunnel' immediately behind the gun to keep it in place...my current holster likes to work its way backwards throughout the day.
I am just concerned that a SIG 229 will be kinda floppy at the top with a holster with such high ride. Wanted to see if anyone had experience with it, or another similar design. Thanks. AX |

I absolutely love that holster design of his but, don't own one. I'm best guessing that a lot will depend on how good (AKA high quality) of a gun belt you have. You can be sure though that if your gun belt does its job that any holster by Garrity will function correctly and do its part.

Hey; I want one of those but where and when can we wear it? You have to have a short (at least) jacket on at all times and zipped up at that. I love this guys work and would order one to go with my already ordered Milt Sparks Axiom but I am getting concerned over the utility of such a holster!
Thoughts? |

Since I already wear an OWB holster, I don't see how this one would be any harder...in fact, I was looking at it b/c I thought it'd be easier with the higher ride of this model than my current one.
That said, I also want to see one made for a 229, because the model for the 1911 pictured on the site has at least as much muzzle hanging down below the belt as my current holster. Hopefully the 229 doesn't come down as far... |

What About a Thumb Break?
It should not slow one down and would make sure that the love handles do not "jostle" the cocked and locked 45 ACP!
