My holsters - Opinions Please
Below are the holsters I have made for my carry rigs. I made these myself and would like some opinions about the quality. All of these except the natural PT145 holster(10oz) is made from 8 oz leather. And all of them are have a running saddle stitch. The straps are removable on the PT145 holsters so different sixe straps could be created.
I have been carry the 1911 holster for about a year with no issues and you can see the wear marks on the holster. I just finished my PT145 holster (brown) last night. I am pretty proud of the 1911 and the brown PT145. The prototype holster for the PT145 was my first attempt with the PT145 so it was made with thicker leather than it should have been. I am curious how these compare to other holsters that you may have already. kimber 4" 1911 natural leather, white stitching and waterproofed ![]() PT145 brown stained leather, brown stitching and waterproofed ![]() ![]() PT145 natural leather, white stitching ![]() Both holsters worn ![]() If anyone would like the prototype holster I made for the PT145, let me know. I would like some one to critique my craftsmanship. Althought this holster is a little thicker than it should be. Please feel free to leave any comments.

Great looking Leather!
I really like the top IWB featured with the Kimber. How long have you been making Holsters? Congrats.

These are the only ones I have made. I used a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 as a inspiration. I have not been making holsters alot. But I have been toying with the idea of making some to sell.
Thanks for the comment.

Make them tuckables.
In fact, look at a Comp Tac CTAC and reproduce it in all leather. That would be something that would interest me. |

Nice job there!
Before you know it, you'll be selling your own leather.

The PT145's a litte thicker than the PT140, I believe. I think the 9 & 40s are the same.

Looks real good from where I'm sitting. If you have any OWB models for a Commander I'd be interested in seeing them.
