Got a new belt yesterday

We went to our towns little spring festival, they had lots of booths of all kinds set up in the historic down town area. All kinds of crappy jewelry and knick knacks. Then I saw an older fellow with a booth of leather products, belts, hats, vests, wallets and other items.

I have needed a new belt for a while now and this fellow had some nice handmade belts for reasonable prices. They were not too think, not too thin, pretty stiff and seemed to be well made. He wanted $16.00 for a belt and I picked one out for me, size 32, tan with a basket weave pattern. No thank you I don't want my name branded onto it. Paid the man and went on my way.

I wore it today with my Glock 23 on my right hip in the Blackhawk Serpa holster and it seems to work very, very well. Not bad for just $16.00.

You can find good deals sometimes out of the blue.

Mike - my current belt was obtained in similar manner. We have a Fall Foliage in town early October and while 95% of the goods are of little interest to me I too found a belt guy, back in 2005.

Thickness, stiffness etc - ideal - and he custom fitted it there by trimming, hole punching etc - in fact IIRC even gave me a buckle choice.

I have had it in use probably near a year now and it suits me fine . Price? I forget but probably similar to yours.
