Rafter S?

Does anyone here use Rafter S leather. I was thinking about trying their IWB cowhide and would appreciate some input. Thanks.

I have one of their OWB's for my PT 145 MilPro and a belt.
Very satisfied with both of them.

I have an all sharkskin IWB rig from Rafter, belt, holster, and mag pouch.

It's beautiful work.
I've decided to start carrying with a smaller, lighter handgun in OWB rather than IWB, but that's a personal thing, not a reflection on the equipment from Rafter.

I use one Rafter S holster and its ok, but not up to the standards of other custom leather makers. However I use their magazine pouches almost exclusivly. I have some from various custom leather makers but personally find theirs best.

Oh I've also had the privledge of meeting them on two occasions, and their great folks.

I just ordered a belt from them them a few weeks ago. My card was charged on the 24th of last month - I thought that was kind of odd since its not due to be finished for about another week. Did they have the rest of you guys pay up-front? I'm not suspicious of them or anything, just wondering if I ought to be tracking-down a lost package. Anyhow, once I get it, I promise to post some pics - should be about another week if all's well.

I got a OWB in sharkskin with belt and Mag pouch. I am happy with it. I did find that for my Commander sized pistols I was happier with the shorter model. I ordered the Commander sized holster and when it got here I thought it was too long. They took it back and sent me the shorter model without any problem. Good customer service.

Thanks for all of the information. Sounds like it would be a good choice.

Rafter S experience

My concealed carry instructor had a Rafter S holster, it looked perfect, and he was very happy with it. It took 3 months to get my Rafter S holster, it was very tight, not design I ordered, and I sent it back. Have been told that I will receive a refund. I love handmade leather, I wanted to own a Rafter S...the business transaction just didn't work -- too long, wrong order, had to call to vocally request refund although I had enclosed a note with the return. Sorry, I did want a Rafter S, I just couldn't get one!
