Trying OWB holster
I just bought my first concealed carry handgun, a Kimber Ultra Carry II, and I'm looking for a holster. IWB sounds VERY concealable, but I'm a little leery about them because of my body shape. My gut is like the top of a mushroom with every thing below like the stem. I have to modifiy my knife sheath and flashlight holder with a loop that make them hang lower. From what I read, OWB is more comfortable, but you sacrifice concealment. I wear longer, untucked T-shirts year round, except when I need to wear a shirt and tie. Even then, I usually have a sports coat on, so this method would seem to work. A local gun shop can get me a Galco Concealable well under $100. Would you please give your opinions on this holster? I would like to also hear some other options and some advice for OWB carry. Thanks.

I have no experience withe the Galco concealable but it is a factory made holster and is probably OK. On this forum there are several custom holster makers who would hand make you a custom holster in the color and material of your choice some at prices significantly less than Galco. They can and will advise you on the best holster to fit you body type. I can personally recommend Nat of UBG Holster see link below. Give him a call and see what he can do for you.
http://www.ubgholsters.com/ Here are more links to other custom makers. I'm sure there are more but this gives you a start. At the top of the site there is a link for Holster sources it has many more choices. http://www.miltsparks.com/ http://www.brommelandgunleather.com/ Ed

I have a Galco Cop 3 Slog, and like it very much. Till I got an IWB it was my main holster.
