Looking At a Comp Tac Infidel
Right now I have a OWB Don Hume Pancake holster for my full size Kimber 1911, it prints like its it job.
I was looking for IWB holsters and I came across the Infidel, it is priced right and it looks like it would work well. Specifically im looking at the Infidel with the "ctac strut" Any1 have any experience with them? Any other holsters that might be a good choice? My body type seem to be quite poor for concealing, im 6'1" 250 if that helps at all. Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Hi 97cobra, I have the Infidel with the Gurkha strut. It is a great holster! It conceals very well. I think that the CTAC may conceal just a bit better and it is very adjustable. One of the reasons that I feel the CTAC may be just a bit more concealable is because the mounting clips are offset from the actual holster. The price is not much different either. Also, I would suggest that you take a look at the holsters from K&D Holsters(http://www.kdholsters.com/). The Cochise Defender is about the same price as the Infidel and is a great holster!! I love mine! It conceals very well and is very comfortable. IMHO, it is the leather version of the CTAC. There is a wait for a holster from K&D, but, it is well worth it!! Here are some pictures of both the Infidel and the Cochise Defender.
BTW, my body size is similar to yours. I am about 5'10" and 250lbs. Ron Infidel ![]() ![]() ![]() Cochise Defender ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

97cobra, when you are ready, you can give Kevin at K&D Holsters a call. He is one of the nicest guys that I have ever dealt with!! Their customer service is absolutely top drawer. Their product is awesome!
Just to make sure that you do know, my Cochise Defender has Elephant Trunk added to it. That was at an extra cost, but the bare bones Cochise Defender is still very nice!! Ron

I'm assuming the elephant trunk is the upper part that goes between the piston and your body? |

I have the Infidel for my G19, with just the belt clip. It fits well, conceals well, easy re-holstering,and is really easy on/off. I've had no trouble with any movement of the holster while wearing it. I've used it in local competitions, and had no problems, and worn it on long car trips comfortably.
