J Frame Grips

I have stock grips on my 442 and am considering a Barami Hip Grip and Tyler T Grip combo. It seems more versatile for pocket/ankle carry and and also as a quick grab for IWB.

Anyone have this setup?

My other splurge may have to be a custom set of damascus grips from Wicked Grips, if they make them for a J Frame. They are too cool!

I've attached a pic of my "J" that I've run for a few years now.

It's not my original idea by any stretch ,( got the idea from Gomez), but I thnk it's the best set-up, for my particular needs.

Later,

JJ

Nice set up Jamie...but I'm curious...if you only carry 4 rounds like some recommed for quicker reloading, why you don't put the space in the middle...wouldn't that facilitate a faster load? I love tylers too....

Thumbs up

I jsut added the high grips on my 642, I like them alot except that there's alot more buck when shooting +Ps, I will be adding the T-grip sooner or later.

I'm partial to rosewood like the ones on last year's Christmas present.

Nice setup LL!

I run my speed strips such that I have a bit more gripping surface on either end, if I need to reload under pressure, what with fine motor skill degradation and all.

I’ve found, for myself, when pressure testing against the clock, it’s the fastest way to get my snubby back into the fight.

Stay Safe,

JJ

Kevin,

Is your barrel and cylinder refinished or is it just the lighting?
