Question for Fed wif a sig

Hey FWAS,
Awhile back you mentioned you were getting some new things from UCComfort to try out. When I went to their website I saw they added a bellyband type rig and a tank top. Since you're kind of the resident expert on their stuff I wondered if you have tried these out yet.
Enquiring minds want to know!

Nope. They havent sent me them yet for evaluations. I am working on an eval on a Kangaroo sweatshirt, two different types of gloves, a skull cap and t-shirt (not holster). Additionally once the holsters arrive from the manufactor, I'll be doing a detailed review on the 2XH, 3XH and RecerBack (for ladies). I'm working with Al to get a UCTank and a chestband to add to that eval.

Take care

Steve, thanks for all the advice given on deep concealment. You've about convinced me that I need one to try out for "dress up" days. Is snaps or Velcro better for holding the front of the shirt closed. And I'd think a tapered shirt would be out of the question. If yall remember back to the President Reagen assassination attempt. The Secret Service guys transported out of thin air -- sub machine guns, a rocket launcher or two, nunchucks, and several other varieties of deadly objects. All in less time than it took to notice where they came from.

Hey lay off the Uzi....I tried stuffing an HK MP5 under my suit once and it didnt play well with others. Works under a London Fog but not under an Armani (must the the name).

I personally use snaps. Tried velcro and just never personally liked it. When I buy a shirt it takes about one 30 min tv show to remove the top three buttons (not counting neck) sew a button on with male snap behind and then female snap where the button had been sewn.

The only issue with using snaps is you MUST have a great working relationship with your cleaners. If their lazy they'll bust snaps on the press boards. It took a year for mine to finally get it right, but they were getting tired of not charging me for the cleaning.

Ohhh just to let ya know, one of the two USSS guys was wearing his UZI under his suit (his "trunk" is a little thicker than mine) and one pulled it from a briefcase (now thats more my style for miniguns). Beware of a govt agent carrying a briefcase, their either from the IRS or they gots a mini-gun in their pocket.

Thanks for all the help Steve, it was a lil tongue in cheek with the transport out of thin air. But no matter where they had the stuff it popped up like "magic" and just like they had practiced hundreds of times I'm sure. I'm not going to be able to respond with the quickness you and those guys do,those days are behind me. I sure woulndn't mind being able to go unnoticed though when I'm dusted off and trimmed. I'd invest in several dress shirts to have converted to snaps on the top 4 buttons or so.

In my limited experience Feds dont play well with others , but i have to admit they play better with LE than they do with strangers . Just know that every pencil pusher with a fed cred attempts to come across as a warped love child of j edger hoover and rambo . The real operators are the nicest folks you will ever meet who show up not only asking how do we fix what brought us here , but they have a briefcase full of suggestions you really should listen to . Just my take on the politics of Fed le , heck i could be entirely wrong LOL .

Feds really do (usually).

Actually at the operational level, in my experience, feds play quite well with each other. There are some that just don't get it, but mostly we work very well together. The turf battles are at a higher level than I will ever be in.

lol OBI in a small dept its not hard to get to the payscale that turf disputes happen in . ill stand by my post that the operators are the best resource a local can have , the pencil pushers should be avoided at all costs . It dont take long to sort them out either .
