The one for me?
So im new to concealed carry and after spending endless hours to the dismay of my wife online looking at holster shapes, materials, rakes, im still lost. Because this is my 1st holster purchase I would like to go cheaper till I get a fell for what I like and dislike. (alot of place sujest this?)
Right now I have been looking at the "BlackHawk CQC SERPA Holster Matte Finish Belt Loop and Paddle" because the fact that it does offer both belt and paddle so that I can try them both. My only concer is that the index finger retention might slow down a draw or that Ill miss it completly. They also make the other carbon one with no belt and paddle option and no retention button but for some reason I cant find it in glock 21?? Next holster is the fobus roto wich I like because I think it will help me find my angle as i try diffrent carry positions? ..... if im not making sense smile and laugh im new ![]() If their is something im missing or not getting please let me know. And to help out Body type: slim and tall 6'3" 170lbs clothing type: jeans and a t-shirt only about 5inches past my belt. weapon?: glock 21 right or left handed?: Right planned carry place. 5:30 or 12:30 anything else?: due to my job I wont be carring all day mabey 4-5 hours a day max Thanks! |

The Serpa works well for me. Never missed releasing on the draw. Some concerns brought up were pebble or debris lodged in the button making release impossible. Weight the options and decide what works.
I like the way the serpa rides close. Another consideration is look into Galco kydex holsters. they seem reasonably priced. Hope this helps.
