My perfect VM-2 modification!!
Hi all,
I love my VM-2's, but always felt they rode a little high for my tastes(printed a little too much). So I experimented w/ different belt loop ideas to see what improvements I could make. Here is what I ended up with and I am very pleased with the results. This setup helps the holster to ride a little lower in the waist, and the belt clips are easy to get on/off: ...First, I took some CTAC clips, cut them down (as shown), then drilled small holes through the front and back of the clip (again, see where the holes are placed)...the holes were just big enough to fit over the screw mounts on the VM-2 holster....Then I removed the stock loops from the holster to expose the screw mounts. ![]() ...then, using the screw provided on the holster, screwed the clip on the mounts (as seen below)-sorry for the blurry pic: ![]() ...this created a holster that rides almost an inch lower than the stock loops setup, as seen below (both holsters are for G27's): ![]() ...This setup works well for me (5'9", 165 lbs), it hardly prints, and still easy to get a good grip from concealed, hugs the gun close to my body, and is super easy to get on/off. Here are 2 more comparison pics: ![]() ![]() ...You could experiment with placement of the drilled holes in the clips to further adjust height and cant. ..Oh well, just thought I'd share what I did and that I am very pleased with the results!! |

Interesting, might give that some though. And, even better, if you don't like it you can change it back.

I did something similar with my C-TAC, it rode to high so I added a piece of old belt leather to extend the front clip making it cant more and ride lower.

Nice job. Here's a link to a C-TAC mod to make it ride lower...

Looks good. I'm of the opinion that lower is better (to a certain extent, of course).

Nice touch! I used ComTac's clips and bent them to do the same thing you did. I wanted to be able to tuck the holster-but I'm afraid that the clips may break at the bend.
Guess I'll have to order more clips...
