Question Omegaman vests?

hi all,
some great info on this site! I am thinking of getting a concealed carry vest, and I ran across this site http://www.omegamanenterprises.com/c...carryvests.htm

I did a search on defensivecarry.com, but did not find any discussion of Omega Man. does anyone have opinions on their vests? They look similar to the 5.11 models, but somewhat cheaper.

Maybe it's just because a I know a couple of plain clothes cops who wear vests to conceal their gun, but when I see someone wearing a vest like that the first thing that pops into my head is that they're carrying...or they're a photographer.

But non-gun people DON'T think that!

You can get 5.11 vests for the same price here: http://www.aramark-uniform.com/pfx/s...og&style=JA295

Be sure what you're looking for is in stock
I placed an order with them some time ago and didn't find out the items weren't yet in stock until I executed the payment. And had trouble getting someone on the phone. They did refund afer a few e-mails.

If I saw someone wearing that I would probably laugh at them...unless they were A: a Boy Scout B: Fishing C: A Cameraman. But I guess if thats your style then go for it.

IMO that really isn't really "concealing" it.

I have worn my 5.11 vest once in a while, but I would never put the weapon in a vest pocket...not practical for carry or drawing...I still keep it on my person. My prefered carry is just a T-shirt with an open shirt, or a 'wife beater' with a T-shirt over it (keeps the weapon away from the skin).
Actually the latter option, T over a summer T seems to be the best way to stay unnoticed by anyone...even other CCW'ers.
