My first ever complaint thread...

I was needing a holster for a class I was going to take. I only had an IWB for my Sig 226 so I decided to look around and see what was out there. I didn't want kydex, but with only a couple of weeks lead time, I decided that I would do that if I had to. But, I found Wild Bill's Concealment through a post here, and decided to check them out. They no longer sell custom rigs, and focus only on what they have in stock. I ordered a package from them after being assured that the holster would be shipped as soon as they got payment. That was May 18, and I still don't have the holster. After four weeks, I think it is difficult to claim that things are shipped as quickly as they let on.

Not a real complaint, waiting a month for a holster is nothing. I happily do so on a regular basis. But, if they would have been honest I wouldn't have canceled an order I had with Nate for the same basic design. I'm expecting a holster from him early next week, so it looks as if he may beat them anyway. Just don't order their product if you need it in a rush. I ended up taking the class with a Glock 22 and had a great time. Just wish I would have know it was going to work out like this.

Everytime I order something, belt/holster/mag pouch, I put it into my MS Outlook calendar and put a 'due date' on the high side of the delivery estimate. Then I fugitaboutit.

I figure that holster makers are craftsmen, not businessmen. By not being accurate about delivery times, not answering emails/ph call promptly just serves to irritate guys like me. So I don't usually call.

I was told lead time on a holster was 8-10 weeks ( rather not say who), and its been 12 weeks today. I understand they are very busy and I dont feel me calling them is going to speed things up ( even tho I'm about to climb the friggin walls ). Since they told you it would be shipped as soon as payment was recieved, I believe I'd be calling them.

To me there is a difference between a small, custom leather smith and someplace that sells holsters in bulk. For a place like Brommeland, K&K or Milt Sparks I'll wait for the quality. But someplace that make them generically in bulk the wait is bad. Not sure how Wild Bill's fits in that spectrum, just my general thoughts.

I Keep Saying Fist...

There are a number of Fist holster owners here...
Does Fist deliver good quality, at reasonable prices in 3-5 weeks? Yes they do...

Stay armed...stay safe!

I agree.

It is what it is and you'll get it when you get it. I would rather my holster be worked on instead of the guy answering stupid "I can't wait any longer" emails and calls. I've been buying custom holsters for quite a while now and, I think most would agree, the wait is always worth it.

Bulman custom holster... $140
Lead time... 26 weeks
Finally getting it...priceless

Of all that I have purchased though, I think Milt Sparks has the perfect form, fit and function.

The problem is he shouldn't be working on my holster. He said that the only things he sells are "In stock" and not made to order any longer. He has lied about the entire situation. It is now 25 days since I placed an order that he said would be shipped immediately and I have nothing. Avoid Wild Bill's Concealment if honesty is something you value- or if you would like to actually receive a product that you pay for. I learned my lesson, Nate will be the only holster maker I deal with in the future. I can't stand liars, and that's what Bill is.

OK, folks, EchoFour has stated his case succinctly. Nothing more needs to be said.
