Yeah, but dogs are tough on anything. I saw a coyote bite off a frozen piece of dead deer once. One bite and it had a good chunk of frozen dinner.

I have one for my Glock 23 and I LOVE IT! It is the best holster I have ever owned, but I am a die hard kydex/polymer guy.
It conceals pretty well for an OWB holster and it is secure as all get out. I recommend it highly.

I'm actually NOT a polymer guy - I like a good quality leather so that says even more about the holster. The minute my 1911 snapped in there, it felt right. I think the 1911 Serpa is designed better (shape-wise) than the one for my XD. When you draw the 1911 your finger stays in a nice concave grove all the way out. For some reason, my XD Serpa does not have that groove and the finger drags across a relatively sharp edge on the way out (thanks dremel). Maybe that's a reminder to keep your finger straight

A bit noisy, though. Especially popping the top shroud, though I have experimented with easing that one off and it CAN be done silently. Otherwise, on a fast draw, there's a loud SNAP! followed by the usual kydex draw sound. Also, you'll spend a few minutes of trial and error adjusting it on the belt, because the belt attachment doesn't slide AT ALL. Plan to spend some profanity-ridden time with a phillips screwdriver. |

I've got 4-5 of them they work real well. I Like them in the drop leg the most. Not that I would ever use a drop leg, unless it was for zombies.
