For my PM9, I have Nate at UBG holsters make me a pocket holster with a detachable leather flap for the back pocket or square bottom cargo pockets.
Again, thanks! I looked into Hedley and he must be overwhelmed with orders or something ...the web site says "Closed to all new orders until further notice." Looked at UBG as well, but don't see pocket holsters ...but I'm sure he'd make one for me if I asked nicely, like he did for you :). Happen to have any photos of your holster from UBG? So far the http://www.pocketholsters.com outfit has my vote.

Mine's been posted somewhere. I'll have to look it up, but I believe it was a thread I started. Nate listed that he does them, just doesn't post it. If you give him call, I'm sure he'll tell you what he can do. He puts a raised part of the leather that comes past the rear sight so that you can push off with your thumb. He also do a little hook at the bottom back part so it stays in the pocket.

He's very reasonable, great quality, & probably a quicker turn around time.

Maybe I'll email him and point him to the pocketholsters one and start a discussion ...see what he says or recommends. It could be that he could use some of his own techniques/details/good-ideas and also borrow one or two to come with a best-overall solution. It's fun exploring the options...

Thx,
Brian

If you can't find one elsewhere, try this:

I have the pocketholsters.com for Kahr PM40. It did NOT come with a push off, even though it should have. I don't miss it, though. It will fit in a jean back pocket, but good luck getting the PM series drawn in a reasonable time from a back pocket holster. Very tight, very finicky. Also visible, since the top of the pocket stays open and you can see easily see the base of the handgun. A bad idea with a PM gun, IMHO. Might be better with a dinky KelTec, Seecamp, or other gun smaller than a Kahr PM.

That holster will also work in the front pocket of jeans, and for me is much less difficult to get out from the front jeans pocket, but still unlikely to be successful in a stressful/dynamic situation.

It is ideal in the front pockets of dress slacks or khakis/Dockers. Watch the Chicago screws, they can loosen. I put some LocTite on mine after a screw came loose. It turned up in the wash, but not until AFTER I went to Home Depot and found a washer and machine screw to replace it.

I'd recommend a tuckable SOB or IWB with invisible velcro belt clips over back pocket carry with a PM series. I have a atuckable Crossbreed for the PM40 that is almost invisble beneath a T-shirt. It WILL be invisible once I get my velcro lined belt and convert the J-hooks to Velcro-clips.

Excellent info ...especially the "you can still see it" and "hard to get out" comments. Makes me want to reconsider. Is the Crossbreed a holster that you'd recommend?

Thx,
Brian (Still thinking...)

What the?
I have a K&D Convertible. It works great if you want to carry in your pocket safely, but you won't win any quick draw contests with it (or any other pocket holster, probably).

I would recommend the Crossbreed. It is handmade in a one-man shop. It looks it. Tucker Gunleather's "The Answer" is much prettier, and is also thicker because he adds another layer of leather. If it is important that your gear looks "expensive" and well finished, rather than utilitarian, the Crossbreed may not be for you. Everyone I've read who actually owned a Crossbreed was very happy, I've 2 Crossbreeds, and had a third (that I re-sold because it was redundant). Not so with The Answer, I've read several complaints due to thickness/bulk. I do think the problem with the Crossbreed is that the sweat shield covers too much of the grip area for me to get my thumb back for a clear grasp, so I cut some of it off (the leather, not my thumb ;) ). I think the Tucker Answer profile is better, in that the sweatshield only shields the slide/hammer portion, and not the grip portion. OTOH, some other guys say they have no problem.

My Crosbreeds are my favorite IWB rigs.

K&D Holsters makes one that would serve that purpose. Their 2n1 model, I believe it is.

Hmm, the PM9 in the back pocket will show, unless they're deep rear pockets. As to not being quick from the front pants pocket, mybe your holster's too snug fitting?

I can draw my PM9 from any pants pocket of mine quickly (Jeans included). The particular holster I have, by UBG holsters, has an extension of leather past the rear sight to push off from. In the case of jeans or other tighter fitting pockets, Nate also puts a hook of leather on the bottom part. If you just pull the gun out, the leather hooks onto the pocket & you have your gun. I've practiced this many, many times (I practice drawing from all my carry holsters often & regularly), w/o any problems. It's really a matter of having the right pocket holster.

For years, I used to use a cheap Uncle Mike's Pocket Pal for my S&W 442 & my old Glock 26. That worked too, but I don't think it broke up the outline of the gun as well, & they wear out rather quickly. The newer ones appear to be not last as long as the older ones (Over 10 yrs. ago).

Personally, I use a pocket holster & an IWB for my PM9. It just depends. Incidentally, UBG holsters also makes a great tuckable IWB holster with a metal clip. It's nice because you can use it w/o a belt. It's never come out on me, unlike some other metal clip holsters.
