That's exactly what I plan on doing: a 642 with ct grips in the pocket and a 637 with stock grips behind the right hip.

Who makes this rig??

I originally bought it thinking I could wear it at Appendix (1:30) or Crossdraw (10:30). It doesn't do either one well for me.

At Appendix it seems to dig into the crease between my thigh and belly when I sit. Same in Crossdraw.
I've gone back to using the Cover-up at Appendix. I realized that the discomfort I was feeling wasn't from the holster. It was from the clip.

Tucker uses a Comp-Tac clip for this holster. The clip extends about an inch and a half past it's bottom adjustment hole. The bottom of the clip was what was digging into me.

I cut the clip off about a half inch below the hole I was using and smoothed the edge with sandpaper. No more discomfort!

I now carry my J-frame at Appendix all day. It's not as comfortable as my Tucker "The Answer" was at 4 o'clock, but it will do.

I really like my Comp Tac CTAC for my J Frame. Very light(enough so that I can loosen up my belt and my gun doesn't slide down) and very comfortable.

franktait: could you please post a picture or two of that holster...the website shows it while being worn. I would very much like to see the whole holster.

Thanks!

Sparks Summer Special II or a Del Fatti would be my vote.

I looked at a Sparks SSII the other day, quite nice, even for a J-Frame.

Sigauer:

Gunners Alley has several good photos of a Comp-Tac CTAC rig that should help. I carry my J frame in one using the standard hooks. Very easy on and off and hides well.

I was considering IWB for my J-frame, but find that OWB works just fine since it's so short--for convenience I went with the Kramer MSP Paddle. If you're not totally sold on IWB, give it some thought...
