Going to an IWB holster

I'm thinking about getting another holster and my question is... How many inches do you need to add to you pants on the average to accommodate an IWB holster? I'm referring to jeans. I don't were dress pants typ.

My normal waist size is 36. I like to buy 38s for wear when carrying IWB.

What Wmhawth is said is about standard.
on average 2" so if you wear a 36" go to a 38"

None, before you change your wardrobe, try your rig in your every day jeans. Maybe I'm the exception but I haven't bought larger sizes.

I go almost exclusively IWB ( a 642 so far ) , and I havent gone to bigger britches. I buy the cargo's with the elastic waist bands. Its finding that "sweet spot" too.

I usually buy one size bigger in jeans also. Depends on the brand too but usually one size bigger works perfect.

I wore a 36 and they fit with both my full size and subcompact. I have lost about 25-30 lbs so I'm going to have to go to a 34 soon.

You might not have to, it depends on the gun/holster bulk and also if the jeans are snug.
I wear jeans that fit but aren't tight, I can easily accommodate an XD9 IWB, I didn't have to buy all new pants.
Try it before you go out and spend the cash.

I'm going to put a spin on this post, I been browsing the web now for a few hours and I need help. Where can i get a good quality lower cost (100 bucks or so) holster. And not wait 3 months to get it. I was looking at the high noon Closing Argument seems to be nice and have a feature or two I was looking for. A piece of leather between me and the gun and the ability to tuck in more than an inch of shirt.http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Prod..._argument.html

I have the C-TACT for my Taurus that I wear everyday as well as one for my Beretta.

I also have an extra mag holder from them.

Edit: whoops, didn't see the leather part.
