??? Gary VS. Milt ???

I have been Eyeing the Milt Sparks VMII and also eyeing Garys Max Con V they look alot alike but is there any difference between the two ???? Looking at then for both a F.S. 1911 and a 229 which would hold these weapons best

The VMII is great!!!!! I have one for each of my guns. Looks like the main difference is that the VMII has the re-enforced mouth for one handed reholstering and the other doesn't. For my preference I wanted the mouth re-enforcement. If you want it thinner in the waistband go with the Brommeland. I have never used the Brommeland holsters but they look great and recieve alot of praise. Milt sparks also has the watch six which is like the VMII but without the re-enforced mouth. Good luck!

I've got to agree with Bowie, the reinforced mouth is the main difference, the MAX CON V also sits lower in the waist band, the VM II rides a little higher for the reinforced mouth to clear the wasit band.

I have two VM IIs that I like a whole lot, one for a 5" 1911, and one for my Sig 220.

If I was going for more concealment I would go with the MC V.

Eventually I will get one, (MC V) for a smaller gun for deeper concealment.

Some will argure that with a full size auto you will want as much concealment you can get, but I haven't had a problem with the VMII as of yet.

I think the reinforced mouth adds a considerable amount of thickness on my VM2.

If I get a different holster it would be without.

You might want to look at the Sparks HR-LTD for your 1911. I called to order one, but it turns out they are only making them for slimline pistols, like 1911s and HiPowers and such, so I ordered two VMIIs for my Berettas.

I have a Watch 6 that I carry my Kimber Ultra Carry II in, and I also have a VM2 that I carry a Dan Wesson 10mm CBOB in.

I cannot tell any difference in thickness of either holster while I am wearing them. Both provide great comfort and concealement under a T-Shirt.

That being said, I'm also on Gary's waiting list for a MCV.

I have several VM-2's and they're really great but I also have one of Mark's holsters on order... the Incognito. From what I can see I think it's going to be my new favorite! I'll post a comparison in the fall when I get it!
