I just received a holster, belt, and magazine carrier today that I ordered from Rudy at Black Hills Leather. I haven't had the opportunity to do anything but put my gun in to see if it fits. This is my first custom holster purchase (I have an Uncle Mike's Sidekick) and I'm excited to try it out over the next few weeks. I'm still waiting on my permit, but I can wear it at the range and around the house until then.

The wait was about a month which for good work isn't bad. I bought the IWB Scabbard which can transition back and forth from IWB to OWB pretty easily. I figured that being able to do both would help me evaluate which way of carry is most comfortable for me without buying different holsters. The belt is stiff, fits, and once broken in will be nice.

I just got back from vacation last night and need to catch up with some work, but I plan to post some pictures and a review soon.

Add my vote for Nate at UBG Holsters. I went an picked up my Striker 1 last week. It is great. I am fortunate to only live 85 miles from him. He is a great guy who takes a lot of pride in his work. It was interesting and informative to see his operation. I will be posting photos of my holster soon. I have a belt on order too. He also has good turn around time.

I have averaged about $10,000 a year in firearm purchases and the accessories that go with them. I divulged to Kevin what I make a year. I have already spent about $5000 so far to date this year.
Daddy?!? I finally found you! Can I come live with you now?

Nate at UBG makes fantastic stuff. I have holsters by M Sparks and Backwoods Leather and Wild Bills. All 4 make good holsters IMHO. Erick at Sideguard has a good product at a fair price too. So little time in life and so many choices.....

Sounds as if you need someone that is not backlogged and can get a fast turnaround. There are several here that are starting out in the mad house of holster making. IF you want a holster from a certain maker you may have to wait awhile. I consider myself friends with several of the makers, but that don't get me to the head of the line.

Try Fist, quality, customer service and fast! (weeks not months). I'm new to high end leather, so not much to compare, but great work.

Sure son...Actually, two of the holsters are for my 24 year old son to fit the Kimber Ultra Raptor and Sig P229 I gave him. He just got his CCW and I want for him to have some quality gear. The one for the P229 SAS was for me. Make some good holsters and I will give you some money.

IMHO, there seems to be more desired here than just a good holster, or this thread would be saying that one has been found already. I am starting to wonder just what you are looking for.
