XD holster??

My son has an XD. He complains about his current holster. A double loop IWB from the XD store. The complaint is, the top of the gun rubs his waist. Anyone know of a IWB that has a higher back? (the part against the skin)

I have a K&D Dakota Defender for my XD-40 Service. It just arrived in the mail the other day, and I am already in love with it. The sweat shield on it keeps the pistol from rubbing on your skin. It is very adjustable, super comfortable, and conceals perfectly. This holster may be just the ticket .

The sweat shield runs all the way to the top of the gun on the Comp-Tac C-T.A.C. They're an excellent company that makes great holsters.

All of mine come with a "side guard" hence the name of my leather holster company. I had the same problem so I created my own designs that work for me.

Have him give my site a look.

Most all of our custom makers here incorporate body shields in their IWB holsters, or at least can on request. Off the top of my head I'd suggest:
Gary Brommeland
Mark Garrity
Matt Del Fatti
Nate (UBG Holsters)
Kevin (K&D Holsters)
Bruce Gibson (Gibson Pro Rodeo)

That's just the leather guys and I'm sure I left out a few.

How long can you wait? 5 months for my MS VMII and it hung up on my 40XD-C ejection port. Ran a match to 'melt' the threads, boned the inside-finally had to radius the following edge of the ejection port!

NOT what you would expect with a $100 holster, especially when the guy says its a problem they're having with the XDs

AKJ Concealco-affordable and thin. Reasonable wait time as well.

This is the one I ordered from Nate at www.ubgholsters.com. I've been wearing it daily for nearly two months now and I like it a lot. Very comfortable and it has a sweat shield.
