Lightbulb 5*11 jeans are here (lots of pics).

I ordered a pair of 5*11 jeans from Forum member Rolex Dr. just before July 4th. They were delivered on Monday and I'm liking these a lot! The fit is really close to Levi's 505 style but the denim is the quality and weight Levi's USE to use back when they were still made in San Francisco. I never thought I'd say this but I'm through with Levi's, I'll be buying 5*11 jeans from now on. I got a great deal on the price from Jamie (Rolex Dr.) and I highly recommend him to anyone needing 5*11 gear or anything else he has to offer. Now for the pics: It's pretty overcast here today so I was picking up some glare at the bottom of the camera, sorry about that.

First, with my 642 j-frame in the appendix pocket and a speed strip fully concealed in the change pocket. There's a bit of printing but the PPK should disappear in these:

Showing where it rides along with speed strip:

Here's with my G19 in appendix carry and two mags in the mag pockets, for a general idea of what's possible (gun is unloaded):

Where everything rides:

Inside out to show pocket sizes and positions:

The mag pockets are fully stitched to the left front pocket but the pistol pocket is only tacked down in one point, I would guess to keep the pocket from drawing with the gun:

Since I don't have handcuffs, here's that pocket with my 642 (in the left kidney area):

Sorry it took so long to get these pics up but I'm totally happy with the new jeans and Jamie's service couldn't be better - a big thanks to him for the deal.

Hmm....they look really nice. You mind me asking how good a price you got?

Can you actually sit down comfortably with a pistol in the front pocket?

Also, you're printing pretty heavily in that 3rd pic.

Looks like nice pair of jeans...I would still prefer to use a holster, but whatever works for you...

And a NEW Instructor's belt, too?

Thanks for the pics...

The idea is great, but I have to admit, those don't look like they would be very comfortable when you sit down.....how is it?

Okay, here's some answers:
Dimmak: That's cheating!

Pete: You've got a PM. Sitting with the j-frame isn't that bad really and that third pic is with my Glock 19 (4.05" barrel). I don't intend to carry the Glock this way but figured it'd give a reasonable indictation of what's possible for those folks with Kahrs and other smallish autos.

Ret: The 642 is actually in an Uncle Mike's (#3?), plenty of room for it. Again, no plans to carry the G19 there but it's the smallest auto I had to demonstrate. I've had the Wilderness belt for a few months now, I like it more every time I wear it.

Hnk: No problem with the 642 and even the G19 is do-able - though awkward. I was mainly thinking of carrying the PPK like that when I finally get it paid off.

One bonus to the pockets: I carry a small, two fold credit card carrier as a wallet and it fits it the gun pocket really well. For those times when there might be pick-pockets around (Tunica's casinos, Mardi Gras, etc), I can stick my wallet in there and it's completely secure but easily accessible when I need it.

Just don't forget to remove the gun and mags before washing.

I thought Glocks were suppose to be dishwasher safe? The laundry shouldn't be any rougher than that!
