Does your leather stink?

I was talking with a member of my IDPA club and he said that if he wanted to wear his leather IWB holster he would have to have 3 of them. Wear one for a day rotate to another while the first dries out. He said that kydex did not have a problem with that since it could be washed and be dry in a matter of minutes.

What is everyone elses experience? Does the leather against your skin get ripe? Is this a problem?

odour

Have more trouble with my caps stinking (or so says my wife who keeps bugging me about letting them die a natural death). IWB I always have a t-shirt under to keep the grip from rubbing my hide off, and it probably helps, I live in a dry climate.

If you are getting sweaty, just grab a handful of snow - it'll stop your sweat pretty fast.

That guy must sweat like a horse!

I frequently wear my VM-II in the summer against my skin... no smell and not even wet when I take it off.

Mine smells like smoke. The maker was a smoker and the smell is still there.

Cheap POS store bought leather, I can see it.

A real leather holster, made by a real leather craftsman, not a problem.

Sounds like your buddy, sweats like a pig.
