K&D Western Style Crossdraw Holster for Judge w/new photos at post 11
Leah's (my wife) belt came in today from Kevin at K&D the holster came yesterday. Because she has the Taurus Judge as her house gun she needed a way to carry it. We looked as several methods, but of all she liked a western style crossdraw holster best. She usually wears a lab coat or other light jacket around the house anyway so the Judge will be covered. We realize she can carry without it being concealed in the house, but how would you feel if you came by and the lady who answered the door was wearing a big revolver that had a cylinder that is 3" long? So to prevent heart attacks, strokes, and fainting spells Leah will be wearing her jacket.
As usual, Kevin has done an outstanding job on the holster. It looks great and feels great to me. Admittedly the belt is about 9" too short for me to even buckle, so I don't know how it rides. Kevin moved the mounting down a little so it is just about in the center of the cylinder and that seems to balance the Judge real well. The belt is 2" wide with the ends slimming down to 1.5". There is a hammer loop to keep the Judge safely ensconced in the holster. At present it is leather, but Kevin will be sending one of horse hair as soon as he gets it. Well before some one posts one of those obnoxious where are the pictures posts here they are.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll post pictures of Leah wearing the new rig this evening.

Another great holster! That belt also looks very nice. One of these days I have to get Kevin to make me a belt.

We had some company for supper tonight and I did not get to do any photos of the gun on. Tomorrow night should be OK.
