HELP! Holster makers - or anyone
I have just purchased a S&W J frame 642 w/ Crimson Trace laser grips. I am looking for a very good IWB tuckable. My ? is will a standard 642 holster accomodate the laser grips? In pictures of holsters on many sites it appears that if the barrel length of the holster is a little longer than 1 7/8 the laser head will hit the lip of the holster and will a holster maker have a sample of the 640 w/ laser?

For the length question...any J frame from 1 17/8" to 2 1/8" inch will get made the same way with the makers I know. Its just not that much of a difference to worry about.....
At far as the CTC....It depends on the maker and the model of holster you choose. I can make any snub holster work with the CTC grip...its not rocket surgery....at least IMO. Look around and see what you like and contact that maker, seeing what he can do for you. Shoot well and god bless

I ordered a Tucker Cover up for J frame. I have the crimson trace grip. He made the holster to fit the grip no problem. You have to tell the holster maker when you order it. I have photos of it on another thread from last week.

Ray,
If you already have a Jframe holster, you can modify it yourself very easily. Gimme a call if you need help It's always good to talk to New Hampshire. Nate

Nare,
Sorry I did not get back to you after our last talk, but I have been on a couple of trips. Do not have Jframe holster-gun being delivered next week. I'll call you -thinking of a Nassar or striker1. for it. Ray
