Galco Sky Ops?
Hey all,
I'm looking for opinions or reviews of the Galco Sky-Ops. Does anyone here use it? What do you think? I'm thinking of trying it with an XD.

I was going to order one, but I was afraid of the C style belt clips. It's more of a triangle type C clip. But they did have them bent over - so maybe they would stay put.

I only know one fed who uses them, and he loves it, however all others who have tried it dont, so I guess its up to you. I'm glad they finally decided to offer different sizes of belt clips as the one size didnt fit all.

But to ME, it didn't. The clips did not fit the thickness of my Beltman, the clips work better with a tapered edge belt.
Yeah I coulda heated up the clip and bent it-but if it broke when the SHTF, then guess who gets to clean up the mess... Better to go with them velcro tabs on the KD Dakota or MTAC. My .02

I wear one simple because I have no other tuckable holster right now and I can't wear my VM-2(s), nor have I purchased the tuckable clips yet for them at work or my Kramer IWB. Its a little flimbsy but its definely not an all day holster.
The belt is also an issue. It seems like it was designed for a very small belt. 1 1/4 not a typical 1 1/2 all my gun belts are 1 1/2 so currently i'm wearing a Macy's Ralph Lauren tommy hillfigure sheeple belt. I'm waiting for a JHOLSTER tuckable to come in the mail, and when that comes my sky-ops is probably going to collect dust.

re skyops
i ran into the same prob with a wider belt, so i filed off the top hooks not it fits all belts, the end result is a hook of the type galco has on their other tuckables, im happy....its a good holster and it does not print, and no unsightly, im waaring a gun clamps....

Galco markets the Skyops with a 1.25" clip. However, they sell an optional 1.5" clip--their model YH150.

Well I went ahead and got one to test drive. Thanks for the help, I'm finding all of the above to be true. I just can't decide if it is worth the $ to me yet. Not that it isn't made well, it is. I'm just wondering if a Summer Comfort might be another option as tuckable isn't a top priority to me. What do you think? Anyone using the SC?
