Does anyone have trouble concealing their CCW with an IWB cross-draw holster?

Does anyone have trouble concealing their CCW with a cross draw holster that sits IWB? Mine seems to push my pants pretty far out and it looks a little weird. The actual gun does not print but my belt sticks out a little far so that it shows on my shirt. Are their solutions to the problem besides getting another holster? I am carrying it around 10:00. I am right handed.

And does it bother anyone who does carry cross draw that when you are sitting, the muzzle is pointed straight at your femoral artery?

Best of luck and be safe!

Ok first off IMHO any carry between 9 and 3 is not crossdraw , it is in front . Secondly for my self the only crossdraw i carry any more is a properly fitted Miami vice galco shoulder rig ( i no longer even have abs of jello so iwb in front is out ) . True crossdraw i am not flexable enough to reach anymore with speed and surity ( in my defense its a bicept and chest issue not a belly issue ) so ill wear the harness if dress dictates, but other than that its strong side after 3 for me .

What positions would be cross draw than because I have a Mitch Rosen Tito's Revenge. Where should I be placing it? I am right handed. Thanks!

Kash , techniquely i suppose crossdraw would be anything on the off hand side of the belt buckle . However the short answer to your question is as long as you can reach your handgun , and the setup of your rig does not interfere with your access to it , then that is ok on placement . I am closer to 50 than 40 myself , and tho i still stand 6 foot and wear a 34" waist , i cannot wear an in front holster anymore with comfort , Due to my arms and chest i cannot reach back to grab a port side pistol that hangs after 3 with speed either. a horizontal shoulder rig can work for me , but is not what i would wish and is in fact only worn when clothing dictates that i cant tuck away an iwb or my kahr pm in a pocket ( strongside )

Well, the mitch rosen holster sits infront of my left hip and I am right handed so wouldn't that be considered cross draw? What would be a better place to put it if anywhere else?

Kash , for you i dont know , for me and my abused old body its better to put it behind my strong side hip . Besides all my weapon retention skills and training feed directly out of a strong side carry . I am old school enough that i blade my stance and it feeds right into a weaver stance .

A glock 27

The gun doesn't print, it's jus that my belt/waist stick out a little in front so my shirt is pushed out a little bit

Interesting thread Kashton...

I have a Glock 27 and a Tito's Revenge too! I would agree that yes, it is a cross draw holster and comfort and concealability should be your guide. There are no hard and fast rules!

I have a rather persistent problem with "Dunlop’s disease". My gut tends to push the butt of my 27 out if I sit down. I end up wearing the holster closer to my 0900 than I like because of this. (You can also wear it at 1400!)

Just experiment. Hopefully you'll find a way that you can enjoy this holster, it's a neat design!

Thumper -- Yes it is an interesting design for a holster. I've been experimenting with holster positions. I usually wear my Milt Sparks VMII but I would like to get used to this too. I will try the 0900 position and see how that works. Thanks!
