What a great post LongRider, and I agree with you. I cannot argue that alot of detail and time were put into the holster at all. I only tried a couple times to access the trigger with the dakota defender and never tried this out with the maverik defender. 100% agree that it probably would not be an issue for carry, however its a personal preference and something I like to see. The issue with the Maverik Defender was the tip of the trigger was almost fully exposed when the hammer was down with the p239, I rarely carry it in SA but when it was it kinda put me on the edge and extra attention was needed.

I tried covering the firearm in a plastic bag but only left it in the holster for a couple hours, should of left it longer. Appreciate your input your experience with working leather. I've had the an order in with K&D for awhile and recently changed it to the loredo defender, from the pictures of seen the trigger guard should def. not be an issue and has the reinforced mouth and look forward to receiving the holster. The VMII is for sure a great holster that has been tried and tested by sooo many people and is what i am currently looking for, you should try one out since you appreciate a quality holster. The metal band is a plus for me and the maverik defender did have a strong reinforced mouth by the double leather also. Kevin has some of the best customer service I have come across, and even though there were some differences, everything could be resolved and is still one of the best holster craftsman around. From what i've seen the shark trim looks to be a winner IMO.

Ahaha, I hear the same thing about looking at gun stuff on the net. You cannot have to many guns and interest in some good trucks/cars, and is for sure more useful. Unless of course she is interest in checking out some porn....
