How do you carry your Sig?

I have a P229R and am interested in carrying it alternately with my Kahr. I'm interested in how my fellow Sig owners carry their pieces. I'm still torn between IWB or OWB so just send me your replies. Pics would be greatly appreciated and enjoyed too!

IWB!

I choose either MTAC

Or MS VMII;

Depends if I have to tuck my shirts or not > MTAC, Drive for longer periods >MTAC, take it off/on >VMII

YMMV

I use a VM-II like DirtDawg has pictured for every CCW I own, 5 Sig's, a Glock -27 and a Springfield Loaded Champion.

For IWB I think it's a great holster but... I don't think there's a IWB holster made thats as comfortable as a OWB.

So why do I use a IWB holster? It's so much easier to conceal. Even in the summer I can hide my weapon under a tee shirt.

In the winter I'll switch off to a Galco Concealable OWB if I can keep a cover garment on all day.

So, get both!

I generally only carry my 229 in cold weather. I use a Mitch Rosen Upper Limit worn a smidge forward of (being a Lefty) 9:00:

I don't have an IWB for my 226, and don't see one in my near future. I've got a Serpa paddle/belt (I prefer the paddle - just as secure, more convenient) and need a long and thick coat to conceal it.

Dirtdawg,

I just received my MTAC for my 229 and am now considering a VM2. The comfort is just not there with the MTAC no matter how I adjust the ride or cant. Do you think the VM2 will help in the comfort department? I don't have a need to tuck in my shirts so that is not a factor at all.

I carry my issue P229 mostly in a Ted Blocker LFI IWB holster:

I'll carry it in a Galco OWB holster (forgot the model/designation) if I'm wearing pants that aren't wide enough to allow comfortable IWB carry.

If ITP is used, its a Summer Special. If OTB its a Galco Concealable. If its a shoulder sholster its a modified Galco Jackass or the Andrew's Monarch. If tactical its a Safariland thigh rig. However, most often its in a UC Comfort 3XH t-shirt holster.

I carry a 228 in a CTAC or a 226 in an UBG Canute.
