Home made IWB
My first attempt at a home made holster. Next time I need good leather. suede was a poor choice.

You might think about using kydex. I haven't handled it first hand but I would think that it would be much easier to manipulate, mold, etc. for the do-it-yourselfer.

Hey that's not bad for your first attempt. Keep it up, you'll master it in no time.
Best, Rhome

Definitely want to go with veg tanned leather. Suede is a no go.

Absolutely go with vegetable tanned leather and not suede.
Also...I see that you are using a stitching awl. Here is a much better way to go to get strong beautiful stitches by hand. Some folks use a small drill bit and pre-drill their stitching holes rather than using a stitching awl but doing it the traditional way really makes a beautiful job of it. See the pics of the knife sheath. You can DO that for about $30 in actual materials. Yes...you can. CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE HAND STITCHING LEATHER PAGE
