Vehicle Carry

How do you carry in your vehicle?

Its kind of difficult to get your weapon out when you're sitting in a car, so do you move it off of your body to a place inside the car when you're driving?

How can you protect yourself if your weapon is in your vehicle?

I thought this would go without saying...

Assuming you're in the vehicle too.

I guess the point I'm trying to get to is seeing if people take their guns out of the holster and put it in a place in their vehicle for easier access when they are driving...Its a pain to draw your weapon from concealment if you're sitting on it.

When you're in your vehicle, it can be a much better weapon or means of escape then your gun....but something could happen when you're stuck in an freeway parking lot bumper to bumper...

I have something mounted under my dash out of sight. Under the seat is too impractical and the glove box just doesn't work. I can't put my pistol between seats cause I have a bench seat (its a truck)

CCW is IWB, .357 rev for anti-material/ anti-vehicle use in a holster mounted between the seats and a shotgun behind the seat all three.

Sometime IWB, sometimes OWB...sometimes between seat and center console--it depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing.

Driving to/from work--IWB or OWB

Stopping at a drive through--between seat and console before getting on the road, driving home after work (I work on Fed property, but park on a public street)

No different than anywhere else. IWB .Unless it is a long trip, then I may switch to a shoulder rig, but not usually.

It'd be a problem if I was right-handed. I'm not. It isn't.
