Hey ElCruisr

How's that new P.O.C. Defender holster working out for you? I bet you like that "unique" belt attachment we made for it, and you don't have to worry about the gun falling out. That was certainly a different kind of "exotic" skin we were able to put on there for you, too. Post some pics, man, and tell us how it's working out for you.

OK, OK. I was going to keep this little bit of "Research" under wraps but now the cats out of the bag (or holster). Kevin sent me an experimental design to try out. I will try to find some time tomorrow to post some pics and a review. It's a pretty unique concept and I've had a few weeks to play with it. To give you an idea of how busy my days are I started at 5:30 this morning and I'm just now winding down so be patient. It'll be worth it!

Wink

Lemme see if I got this right reading between the lines.
We have a new prototype holster in the works and being "actual use tested" which features a new and different type belt attachment system and ElCruiser is keeping hundreds of forum members on the edge of their respective seats because he is busy and he had to get up early this morning.
Did I get that right???

Well, yeah that about sums it up except that's when I get up every morning.

I will say that Kevin is correct about the exotic nature and different design. I think the whole thing was born when we were having a long discussion in his shop one day a few months ago. We had solved most of the countries problems (why won't the political powers listen to old vets, we can solve it all quickly!), bitched about the state of the available pool of potential employees and got started on holsters. Later during a conversation about a holster I was ordering we started discussing available exotic trim for my modified holster order.

I asked for manatee

Kevin says "No, sorry"

California Condor stained green?

Nope, fresh out.

Duckbilled Platypus with the hair on?

No can do...

Well, fudge! Aardvark?

That we can get but a square foot will cost you the equivalent of the GNP for Sierra Leone in 2005!

Maybe I'll stick with cow hide......

But I apparently had set some wheels in motion about exotic coverings, sweaty IWB carry in FL and good retention for a SA Micro in a multiple carry style holster. When I received an item I had ordered from him he warned me that there was an extra piece in the box for me to try out as a "little something different" that he wanted to try. If it worked out well it just might launch a new design for him. So, after I go to the range for some long over due practice (With my schedule I haven't shot in a month and I'm developing a facial twitch) and surely, no one here would deny a dedicated gun lover his range time. Run the needed errands for my wife and do some laundry I'll try my poor hands at some digital imaging and see if I can figure out how to post some pics and a description of this little beaut.

Part of the uniqueness of this particular holster was brought upon by ElCruisr's incessant, "Where's my holster?" So we offered to make him an "enterim" holster and wanted to try out some new features we were thinking of adding as options to our holster(s).

One thing's for certain since he got the holster - I haven't heard a word out of him.
